Broxigar vs Garrosh

Who do you think would win in this 1v1 combat on an open field with no armies and no powers from garrosh using the Heart of Y’shaarj … just them 2 fighting for their life.

No one, both would get their heads crushed under Yrel’s mighty hooves. For the light!

I want to say Garrosh, just because Broxigar is stupidly overrated.

“Oh gee, you were given a weapon that can basically cut anything for doing far less than most of the people Cenarius has worked alongside? I wonder why he was able to wound Sargeras! Must be because he’s the greatest Warrior ever!”

Be a good fight. As long as nobody interferes,

Garrosh.

Gorehowl was a simple Axe made legendary by the Hellscream bloodline. Garrosh is no different. He’s a very strong, very good warrior. He was… ahem… built differently than the other Orcs. And with a mere Axe he rose to the top and became a powerful Warchief.

Broxxigar was only able to wound Sarg due to the Axe of Cenarius. He was just a good Orc foot soldier though.

Broxxigar without the Axe is essentially Saurfang before he died.
Garrosh does not lose to Saurfang. Therefor he does not lose to Broxxigar without his fancy weapon.

Yeah, Broxxigar’s main strength came from his weapon, but even with an axe like his, it takes tons of courage to stand up against a whole army, and to face Sargeras alone.

What separates Brox and Saurfang from Garrosh is their morality.

Garrosh might be a better warrior than both of them, but his heart is rotten and corrupted.

Open field and a fist fight? Probably Garrosh.

Open field with both wielding their respective weapons? Probably Broxigar.

Broxxigar has better combat feats than Garosh, but all of them are done with the axe of Cenarius.
Garosh has more documented 1v1 fights, where based on merrit, he lost all: vs Varian, vs Craine Bloodhoof and vs Thrall.
With a weapon of choise aka Broxxigar with Axe of Cenarius and Garosh with Gorehawl, Brox wins.
Without weapons, I think Garosh has the edge as he has more 1v1 combat experience.

Garosh is the greatest warchief who ever lived
so i will say garosh

Unsure where people are getting the notion that Garrosh was a better warrior than any of the Saurfangs in their prime.
Broxigar was a hero due to his exploits in the First, Second and Third wars. And he did after all slay thousands of demons in their own realm to the point where he attracted the attention of Sargeras himself… Garrosh would have been hammered by Cairne had it not been for Magatha Grimtotem

Garrosh skill and strenght was always inconsistent, he got spanked by Cairne but rekted Taran Zhu.

He did’t exactly rise to become Warchief. Thrall appointed him because his ideal first choice, Dranosh, had died at the Wrathgate, Saurfang Sr. was too old, and he knew the orcs would only accept another orc.

God I wish that was me.

Yeah, but he also had a weapon that allowed him to kill them all with ease. It’s much easier to kill thousands when your weapon slices through them like soft butter than when it stops and catches in them. Also somehow nobody thought “Why don’t we just shoot/use magic against him”. That’s also a big reason he succeeded he had nothing to do with.

As for the bravery part of it? Not only did Brox actively want to die in honourable combat, but can we honestly think, looking back on what many heroes have achieved and done, that he was unique in his willingness to do it? While Garrosh himself may not have been willing if given the chance, for most heroes the issue would be more “Would I achieve anything, or would I just be wasting my life when I’m needed later”.
