Buff Assa rogue ENVENOM DMG in PvP + Survivability

Who defines if something is viable or not?
You still havent said how much you would say would be “good” numbers. What is considered a big hit? 150k? 200K? 250k? 300k? What modifiers do you want? How fast do they stack?
Since im quite sure people would complain if it stacks too fast or too slow etc etc.

Shadeniz prob have alot more on his take about assa rogues that atleast wouldnt make it broken but atleast good. And when I actually wrote this he started to write xd

A good number for envenom would be 70-80K, as rogue can Mark for Death into another Envenom, which is a very typical burst for any FoTM class atm.

There is a difference between bursting every DR and having access to burst damage. No one is asking for Assa to hit as hard as Sub during stuns with an Eviscerate-like Envenom. But you need damage spikes to kill people right now, having good pad DoT damage doesn’t land kills. HoJ and a couple hard hitting globals kills, Stormbolt with Colossus MS and an exec proc kills people, and so on (no guys, I’m not saying these 3 globals 100-0…). Assa doesn’t have damage spikes because Envenom does not hit really hard at all. And Vendetta was removed. So there is little to no burst. And so you can have good, even great overall damage, but you struggle really, really hard to finish people.

I personally would buff Envenom and Mutilate a bit while nerfing Garrote and Rupture a bit. My details usually looks like two full bars (the two bleeds), and then only really short bars. The damage could be distributed a bit better. And it feels rather bad that I sometimes press Envenom, which is 5 CPs, to just see a 25k on a target that doesn’t have wall up (ofc that’s an Envenom outside of CDs but then I see WW casually hitting 70k normal hit RSK out of CDs so …).

A good change could be to just buff the amplifier given by Shiv. Right now it is +20% Nature damage while it was +30% in Legion and BfA, and +40% in SL. This way you would get more burst damage during Shiv, but not much more overall since Shiv isn’t up all the time (and it wouldn’t be a dumb flat buff rewarding people who just press spells somewhat randomly).

Somehow I didnt even know Vendetta got removed. RIP.
I dont mind talking about buffs and nerfs or anything really. I just want people to call out numbers thats more logic and good instead of just calling out “buffs, big hits” etc. It keeps going back to how arms warriors complains their MS dont hit for 180k+ because they werent a WW monk with their RSK >_>

I think arms warrior people made it abit worse to me so I do apologize if I sound too harsh/bad. I dont want assa to feel bad or anything since I did play it abit in PvP during WoD and did have fun. But the forum sometimes gets part of the worst out of me even if I dont go the extreme x)

This is something I kinda agree on more specs aswell.

It got replaced by Deathmark. The CD that duplicates two bleeds but nerfed by 30% in PvP, and that every comp can dispel anyway since Evokers, SV Hunters, Paladins and Dwarfs/DIDs remove it.

Assa Rogues are not happy about this.

Assa is one of the OG speccs of rogue since TBC, and became even stronger in the first 2 seasons of WotLK before - Shadow Dance - was invented and overshadowed Mutilate rogue.It’s an enjoyable specc for A LOT of people and having it undertuned is just not a good idea.It’s bad for the players.And for the game.

If I mained assa I would have been pissed since I liked Vendetta.
I personally just wish they removed racials from PvP and just let people play w/e racial they want instead of FOTM one.
Sure, there are still ppl who do, but theres alot of race change just for it since its still an advantage x)
I just lvled up a new warlock to have some fun with, just doing some bgs and all. Lvled it up as Draenai which I usually dont feel too much about but man. This ones hot. cough
But I do notice the disadvantage from example void elf (no pushback while being hit) etc.

Im not rly here to trouble or offend people either. Just got tired of always reading about not being viable or not hitting hard enough. Spills over when it keeps going on >_>
In a perfect world, every spec would be close to A tier while having its counter-parts and specs they work good/better with.
Sadly blizz enjoys overbuffing.

Well, i never asked for assa to be what it was start of season 1 Dragonflight where garrote was hitting for 40k aoe and everything was dying by default.Small changes.You can bring assa back to life just by buffing envenom damage and giving us some kind of survivability.
Nothing more nothing less.
