Assassination rogue have been left to rot lately in PvP, as his bis bleeds do nothing compared to how much heal output there is in arena and his envenom hit for literally 30-40k crits, which is absolutely nothing compared to a ton of other abilities.
If you wanna make assassination viable again, buff his envenom damage, by either allowing Amplification poison application without losing wound/deadly poison, or just buff overall envenom damage so that Assa will be able to finish off people.
Thank you.
lol nice joke, facepalm. Seeing assa doing 52-60 millions on rbgs. This must be nerfed not buffed
Wahhhh I can’t press W and Kidney Shot on cooldown and do loads of damage whilst being immortal as well wahhhhhh buff Assa wahhh buff buff buff
Blizz never Do that
And this happens without pressing Envenom a single time.
There is absolutely no link whatsoever between the RBG 8-target cleave build and single target damage. You don’t use the same builders, you don’t use the same finishers, and you don’t have the same amount of targets.
Blame your brother spec Sub rogue for not being viable
Ask for Sub nerfs before u ask for Assa buffs =)
i think current sub is more of a brother spec to fury warrior than it is to assas and outlaw rogue
DH speaking and bringing up crimson tempest padding, ain’t no way
The problem with assa bleeds right now is, lets take rupture for example, which deals 7-9k dmg per tick, a resto shaman’s healing stream totem ticks at around average 10k, which just automatically deletes the bleed.WoW PvP has transitioned into a high burst meta, where every class has to have some burst in order to be able to finish off people.Just copy WotLK Assassination rogue, which is inferior to sub specc of course, but is made viable by having high envenom burst.
Long story short, buff envenom damage, give us some kind of survivability, it’s getting ridicilous trying to kill a retri paladin who has 1m wall, 1 shield of vengeance, bubble and bop and instant heals as an assassination rogue who crits for 40k envenoms.
Assa is a “counter” to rets so you want a buff to beat them?
Healing stream ticks start at 20k and go up 10% per tick
Even if assassination and outlaw are among the least amount of played specs, they are currently played very successfully by a bunch of really good players. In fact, outlaw and assassination are the two dps specs with the highest win % in solo shuffle between 2.2 and 2.4cr in the last 7 days: outlaw with a whopping 74% and assassination with a 61% win rate. So, in the end it looks like a skill issue to me because both specs can clearly perform on high rating in the hand of (a few) skilled players.
Making a specc viable means to be played by the majority of players on a respectable level, not from the 0.1% ( R1 Players ) who can play any specc at any rating.
I just wanted to mention the actual statistics, wasn’t meant to be a “git gud”-own.
Then the question is, what is considered “viable” for people.
Some arms warriors “viable” is they have to be considered S+++ otherwise its unplayable so… x)
It’s not rocket science.Meta is bursty, assa has no burst atm.Buff envenom damage, give us some kind of survivability so people who enjoy assa can play it without having the urge to scratch their eyes out
So you want to add more fuel to the fire xd
Im sorry but, id rather things be tuned down than buff assa to the lvl of what you call “bursty” so you can kill a ret pala more easily x)
Unless you can give examples that wont make assa too strong while tuning other specs down?
Yojeong, i am not here to argue whether assa is gonna be dominating retri paladin if they buff envenom damage. What im trying to say here is that assa is a specc that many players enjoy, and it being unviable because of the lack of burst dmg and survivability makes no sense.
Then dont bring other specs up if you arent going to “compare”. I just dont understand why people always keep going that route.
Assa, in my view, has never been the spec thats supposed to be bursty. Its like you want to go the same route as sub.
Assa is more about rot and control.
Sub is about burst and control.
Thats my honest opinion.
So you wanting the burst to get stronger is making the move towards Subs area.
And I dont mind if you want to argue or discuss about buffs to assa, but atleast give some kind of indication on what you are after.
How high envenom buff? What defensives? What buffs that wouldnt make them too strong?
Some people enjoy FOTM and enjoy overpowered specs so they flood over there. Assa is not underrepresentative because of it being “unviable”, its more because how much more sub overshadows it by being broken.
But rogues are also supposed to get a rework soontm which could change how things looks to be, and if its going the same route as the other ones so far you will see most likely all rogue specs skyrocket to the moon.
Well, the way the meta is right now doesn’t seem to change in the near future, i suspect it’ll stay the same until the next expansion. Also the idea of nerfing healing output, etc etc is very unlikely because that will change the entire game.So yes, if they wanna make assa viable, they’ll have to buff envenom damage. The better idea is to assa to have amplification poison together with wound and deadly, instead of having to pick one or the other, or give Envenom some modifier that stacks, allowing us to hit big with Envenom.Anything to give us some burst.
