Buff pvp items on season 6 more

buffing only pvp weapons is bad
it just gonna be another ruby sanctum season where everyone goes full pve items and puts resil sockets in it
pve hc items are 252ilvl and pvp offparts are 232ilvl
this will mostly benefit warrior… no need to buff strongest wotlk pvp class

Even though I’m a warrior player, I agree. If they buff ulduar loot, they should buff the PvP items too. It’s possible they are already planning on it but we can’t be sure.

Well i checked items now and compared it to old furious gear. you were right, it will be really " ruby sanctum " again.

In short way, they buffed by 5 % pvp items ( by math) but resilence buff is really minor, with all gear( off set and set furious) is 37- 0.5% less dmg. As you know, 0.5 % less dmg wont help a lot if they get 10 % more dmg vs before + it can be even more if they use pve off sets with insane level upgrade compared to pvp. i hope they fix it.

Big support.

I do not want to pve for pvp.

But I also doubt this will be fixed soon or even with a hotfix.
Its too late already.

They’ve already shown they don’t care about PvP, hence why the participation is drastically lower than expected and why a private server has a higher team pool. Messing around with ilvl was always going to be a disaster for balance and yet another Blizzard manufactured issue to plague next season, as they learned nothing from their mistakes this season, clearly.

But this is how it used to be in old wotlk too, it’s just how the game was implemented, if u want 100% pvp only, just play retail.

?? please before u make comment read first sentence of post
-they are not buffing pvp offparts
-they are buffing pve hc items (including offparts)

yes most classes mostly used hc items as bis for pvp
but now even classes that wouldnt be using it has to use it

and difference is so huge that guy who doesnt wanna pve will be in such an disadvantage - means less pvp alts cuz obv u dont have time to arena+raid on all of them especialy on ulduar and especialy when u gonna raid ulduar even on toc season

Well as i said before, they “buffed” pvp items but its negligible comparing with pve items. i played on " private " server and season 6 was somehow balanced vs s5 or s8(ruby sanctum items are not icc items = s8). S6 and s7 were most balanced.

i m still not sure if they don’t understand or wont understand that everyone who plays pvp atm is a bit hardcore and they will have those pve items. As you don’t have option to get “better” resilience item, they should either upgrade them or get option with rating to get better ones… ( i dislike rating option because participation is low, so it would be nice to do something about it, we do pve to play pvp, so vice versa wouldn’t be bad idea)

i m actually thinking about hpala( or some dps) because with this change it will be unbalanced and i m not fan of getting one shotted as dpriest for whole wotlk.

Where did you check it? Are they available at the PTR PvP vendors already?

Well if you write items on wowhead, you will see that they “upgraded” items compared to old stats( i know old stats by private server / atlas loot old version). So now when you write you see difference but its minor, like 5-6 stam, 2 ress more etc.

Skip furious season and give us rele. Problem solved. With this little buff to furious items it will be just one big joke to pure pvp players… I just wanna play arena. Ty

Its funny because you actually said correct item lvls. relentless gear is 251 and off sets are 245. Atm difference is 15 % in stats. (new furious vs old relentless )

maybe they should add rele offparts on mid of furi season
ulduar HMs are hard and it will take time for ppl to get them

It would be good idea, but i dont remember them doing anything like that before. i didn’t know item lvls of relentless before, but its big upgrade(ulduar items= relentless). Even relentless off pieces would be nice change mid season if they want to keep those changes.

didn’t the vast majority of players on PvP servers vote not to want PvP when they created Mega Mono Faction servers as their preference?

If some PvE Slots work better for PvP then perhaps you should just run some PvE content to be competitive ?

monofaction realms and this topic are not related.

Will they buff wg items?

Server faction balance

I believe its the opposite. Many players want to open pvp so badly, that once the faction balance swings into some factions favor, the game becomes unplayable for the minority faction. Early classic vanilla, when the pvp system was introduced, it took only a few weeks for perfectly balanced pvp servers to become a mono faction servers, simply because the permanent ganks made the game unplayable for one side. Once a few players quit/change servers, there is not much that can revert this development.

One other big factor is the high player number of each realm with the higher player density. Even if the players are divided by layers, once one faction is comparably lower in numbers, the number of layers keep reducing, making it harder and harder for the inferior faction to do anything open world.

Item level balance pvp vs pve

Concerning the pve items being better than pvp items, there is no reason having pvp offparts in the first place, if those are 20 ilvl below pve items, that are already better for many classes by design, like rings, neck and cloak having primary stats for melee classes in pve, but missing those stats on pvp items. Its not that the pve items are slightly better, its that those are >20% better compared to pvp offparts.
For classes, that would usually use as many pvp items as possible, the season will be unenjoyable or even unplayable, e.g. multiple healers, because their gear will always be bad compared to those using pve items, as if they were using the previous season gear, while every class using pve gear is already using a new tier of gear altogether.

If pvp gear is designed to be so much worse than pve items for competitive arena, the season will become more of an unbalanced custom season than we have ever seen in classic or maybe even back in the day.
