Theres a lot of tmogs to buy for Resonance Crystals currency. Each ensemble contain 6 or 7 tmog items and cost 9750 resonance crystals. The best way to farm this currency is doing skyriding races. Every race completed with gold score on basic, reverse and advanced mode grants overall 345 crystals. That means you have to do 29 races to get enough currency to buy 1 ensemble. But there is more ensembles, like 20 or 30 I don’t know exactly but a lot. It would be fine at this point for me but theres one thing that annoy me. It’s the fact that people who had a lot of alts before 11.0.5 was getting resonance crystals from TWW factions quatermasters as a reward for getting renown on every single chracter. Since 11.0.5 it changed to warbound so it can be claimed by only one character. That gave huge advantage for people who made alt army before 11.0.5. It’s completely unreasonable to keep slow farm of resonance crystals after this huge mistake maked by wow devs. Im collector and I will not do 1600 or even more races with my alt army that I maked in this patch to get all tmogs from this currency. This currency has to be buffed right now, if devs are thinking this is fine I recommend them to do 1600 races.
Or you could just try to tame whatever impulse it is that makes you want to chase every collectable in game.
If doing 1600 races isn’t fun… don’t do 1600 races.
I just expect us to get more of those renown reward special items from upcoming factions, you know, those you could turn in for a full set? Often it’s not worth to grind “early on” in an expansion; you’ll get plenty of the needed currency until the end of it. My experience tells me not too get too stressed out over it.
You get GEM from renown factions which is used to purchase whole set.
There are a total of 32 appearance sets. We got 3 Earth Encrusted Gems from each faction, for a total of 12. Since we will probably be getting exactly 2 more factions during TWW, that’s another 6 gems we will be getting if they do not change the reward structure of Renown. This means that we will still need to purchase 8 of those sets with Resonance Crystals. But there is no guarantee that Blizzard will not add more sets there with the new factions!
Yeah, and if anima or other such currencies were an indicator across past expansions, we will be getting more in later patches, so it’s usually best to just wait instead of working your… behind off at the start of an expansion for a grind that will get easier later on.
yeah id say res crystals are on the low side.
but wouldnt surprise me if they get buffed later in the expac

pvp rewards should drop more crystals
It’s always like this - by the end of the expack we’ll be drowning in crystals.
These a probably going to be an expansion long thing. Kind of like the Dragon Isle currency was.
You’ll get plenty of these Resonance Crystals over the course of the expansion, and be able to buy all the things you need.
