I recently swapped covenants from Kyrian to Venthyr while having the Kyrian mace equipped. However the current appereance of the weapon is not modifiable, i can‘t change my current weapon transmog to anything else. I know i can‘t transmog TO that weapon as i‘m not kyrian, but not being able to change it‘s tmog at all is 100% a bug and not intended. i can‘t even change the weapon illusion.

I don’t know if this is already public or not, but i found a solution to fully transmog ur weapon including enchant. Just queue any arena game (skirm, 2v2, 3v3), then mount the Grand expedition Yak (mog mount) in preparation room and you can transmog as you want. Kinda funny how being in the preparation room has an impact on that. Rip if you don’t have the mount
Even on non-covenant weapons, I’ve been unable to transmog. For example, the ilvl 200 Conquest PVP glaive - I can’t transmog it to anything else. If it was a cheap weapon to get, or it was part of my previous covenant, I’d have no problem, but it’s neither. The workaround’s that people mention do not work for this, so now I’m stuck with a weapon that is completely out of whack with the rest of my set.
I also can’t transmog the appearance of my existing Kyrian armor (which was already equipped) into anything else.
I can understand not being able to transmog other items TO armor from covenants I’m not part of, but the other way round makes no sense. I’ve basically had to farm out some pieces of PVP gear for slots I didn’t already have gear for, but that still means my PVP weapon isn’t able to be transmogged. As a matter of fact, the weapon doesn’t even show up in my transmog options, meaning I can’t even match both weapons either.
EDIT: So, apparently there are different ilvl 200 weapons, which have the exact same stats and weapon type, but visually match each covenant. I’m not sure if this is the reason why I can’t transmog the weapon, but it’s an absolutely silly design if so.
A super easy way workaround for pvp gear is if you already have something purchased in pvp from another covenant let you change it for you old one or let you purchase again for free or at least honor points instead of conquest.

yup. i’ve been stuck with my kyrian dagger for almost a month now. blizzard refuse to help me even though the night fae dagger has exactly the same stats, and it’s not even like i’d be gaining new transmog since i already have it. at least i got a human to write that they wouldn’t help me. realistically i’ll just end up getting another dagger from the vault before they fix it.
the one thing at least is that if you have it in your offhand, you can apply a legion artifact skin to it.
