I am Researching Sopranian Understanding on my Shaman. When i log to another character, the console is not showing it being researched by a toon, instead of the red message/text “This is being researched by another character”.
I tried complete restart of the game, didn’t change anything
Cleared WoW cache, didn’t fix it either
Edit: Also made a bug report ingame
Is anything else being researched on that specific character?
Easy to miss.
I just checked it:
Shaman is researching: Altonian Understanding (1d18h left) and Trebalim Understanding (3d14h left). This char doesn’t see “Sopranian Understanding” being Researched by the Demon Hunter.
Demon Hunter is researching: Sopranian Understand (5d14h left). This char sees “Trebalim Understanding and “Altonian Understanding”” being researched by another character", the Shaman, correctly.
Rogue (my main): Currently not researching at the moment (waiting on Altonian understanding to complete on the Shaman). This char sees “Trebalim Understanding and “Altonian Understanding”” being researched by another character", the Shaman, correctly. This char doesn’t see “Sopranian Understanding” being Researched by the Demon Hunter.
It might be that you cant research more than one thing - depending on what it is.
Well, its very unclear if that is the case…and it wouldn’t explain why the rogue can’t see it neither since that char isn’t researching anything
Report it as a bug, if thats the case.
It should be character specific - not account.
Aye, already did that but couldnt post it as specific as here, since i don’t have enough characters in the ingame bug report to describe it in detail
Research is account wide - in that once one character has researched the long duration ones, they change to only take a second or so research time on alts.
As such, it seems intended that if one of your characters is researching a given node, it should not be available to research on any other character, until it’s complete on the first. This has been the case for every ‘Understanding’ node on the tree, except Sopranian.
Which seems very strange.
