I can’t complete the quest Sabotage! in Southern Barrens and i need to be able to complete it for Loremaster.
I can press the missile and then get a prompt to get out, and as i understand it a cut-scene should play and then the quest gets completed. I don’t get the cut-scene and the quest wont complete.
I have tried to try again, pressed both missiles and abandoned it to take it again. All this I’ve tried both before and after this last Wednesday-update.
Just noticed i had the wrong character chosen when i made the topic, it is on my lvl 70 rogue on server Tarren Mill the problem is.

We are aware of some issues with the quest “Sabotage!”, the devs are already working on a fix - albeit we have no details to share about an ETA for it to be available.

The final quest in the Southern Barrens storyline appears to be broken in the pre-patch. The quest Sabotage, where you destroy the Bael’Dun fortress, will not trigger an essential cutscene to wrap it up.
Opening a ticket did nothing, indeed it looks like no one went over it considering the response. I’ve submitted a bug report and taken a thorough look at Wowhead where people appear to be having the exact same problem with no solution in sight.
Same issue here still as of august 14th 2024. Last quest I need in order to complete my loremaster title ;-;
Any updates from the WoW team or players on how to bypass or fix the issue? It is the last quest I need for my loremaster, still haven’t seen any updates regarding the issue. The cinematic does not appear after I escape the stronghold.
Same problem here, thought the new patch today would fix it but it hasn’t as just tried dropping the quest and doing it again but still no cutscene so can’t complete the quest.
I can see that I’m not alone with this problem. The quest doesn’t work 100% for me either. I accepted the quest again and again, and then had to cancel it because no cinematic came up for me either. Let’s hope that the problem will be solved soon.

i know you don’t have an ETA for this but any update on how’s it going? It’s kinda annoying this quest is the only thing i miss for the Loremaster achievement.
Or is there a way you might mark it as complete since i’ve done it, with exception of the cutscene.

Doesn’t work as of September 6th. Hopefully it might get fixed within the next couple hotfixes.

It’s been over a month since my first reply and even longer on the bug report itself. Any news from the wow devs? This is just absurd that this bug is still ongoing…
Same here. can accept, can interact with the shell, says “get out of there” and im doing that… in fact i think i may be too far away now. somewhere in nerubar palace now. how much further do i need to go? which place is the most far away? shadowlands? draenor from tbc? draenor from wod? seriously it is going on since pre-patch. when will it be fixed?
