Hey everyone, not sure if anyone else is running into this — I think my Artifact weapon might be bugged.
I’m currently level 52 in Legion Remix, but my Artifact weapon is still item level 40.
I’ve literally never looted a single Artifactium Sand or Mound of Artifactium Sand since I started the event.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- Completed all meta quests in the Bazaar
- Opened 100+ Caches of Infinite Treasure
- Checked my bags and currency tab (no Sand anywhere)
- Tried multiple activities — world quests, events, dungeons, etc.
- Relogged and restarted the game several times
Despite all that, I still haven’t gotten any Sand drops, and I can’t upgrade my weapon at all. I also couldn’t find anyone else with this specific issue, so maybe it’s a rare progression bug?
If anyone has seen this or found a fix/workaround, please let me know 
Otherwise, I’ll submit a support ticket, but I wanted to post here in case others are affected.

Ok, so, from what I’ve read elsewhere, this could be bug related to Blizzard not acknowledging the fact that you got an artifact weapon. So the FIX is to do all weapon quests related to your class, and then it should be just fine, just get all your weapons, even if you won’t use them, and that should fix it.
I have the same issue. Got both weapons early on my dh. I am lvl 41 now and legendary weapon is still lvl 40. Opened over 100 chests which I was stacking up and got 0 sands, did raid got nothing too. I am wodering how they going to fix it now, as I wasted 2 days to play this characer and due to bug I can’t move forward with it.
Probably they will give everyone who has the same issue one sand to upgrade and thats it. Blizzard… crying out loud.

Oh and I did open a ticket, but from my experience I will have to w8 for a week to get replay and it will sound like this “We know about the issue and We are working to fix it” - thank you very much I will have my subscription money back and uninstall this game.

Definitely a bug. Got the same issue. I’m level 80, all 684 ilvl gear but with a ilvl 29 wep. I’ve done two extra wep quest but still have one left so I’ll try that tomorrow and see if that changes anything. Otherwise I’ll probably just complete all the quests and make a new char. Pretty annoying

Did you get any replay to a ticket? I also submitted ticket, but got replay to check mailbox if I don’t have missing loot.

Same stuck at ilvl 161. Swapping specs etc. did not help. No reply yet.

Same here - lvl 35 DK, have all three Artifacts, done all the meta quests, swapped specs, no sand - ilvl 29 weapon
Edit: after opening EVERY cache in my inventory and scrapping EVERYTHING I started getting Sand/Sand Mounds

this is the biggest clue
I think a cache in your inventory has a chance to roll to have a sand in it
if it does and you do not open it you are not getting any more till you open that cache
i started mass opening them until it dropped a sand and from there is was fixed

Could be, for a little while i stopped receiving stats from caches and then did a quest from the hub which “fixed” it while i was around lvl 40 or so.
Now i’m 80 and completed every zone, opened all the caches but at some point it bugged out somehow. If they don’t fix this then the character is lost.

same after opening all the chest bug is gone. But it’s like 500/600 ilvl lost.

I am having the same issue on my character as well changing spec, relogging in, opening all caches still does not fix it. has to be a bug!

Same issue, full 584 ilvl gear and my weapon has been stuck at ilvl 167 for a few days now…

I’ve had SOME though. All my gear is around 400 ilvl but my weapon is 128!
Ive been doing all quests, all meta quests, loads of dungeons and raids and opening all my boxes. Really frustrating as I’m playing on heroic world tier and things take so long to die!
