Bug : Travel form druid, no take off from water

First off all, please pardon my english (I’m a non native speaker, it might hurt your eyes, sorry in advance).

I reopen the topic, finally bored of this “unfortunate bug” that strikes without explanation some of us, druids. Old topics has been automatically closed, without proper solution.

I ran tests to find bug’s origin on my account ; it happens to only one of my tested droods.
After some deductions using same hardware/software/addons/parameters, I observed
that that my problematic drood is the only one who has an equiped slot of “mount equipment” (collection/mounts/ under the list of mounts).

I had “Anglers’ Water Striders” equipement on :
Replaced with “Light-Step Hoofplates” ==> still bugged
Replaced with “Comfortable Rider’s Barding” ==> still bugged

I’m trying to find a way to remove completely mount equipment to complete the tests.
It seems that unfortunately, this works as a gem socket (you can only replace).
If anyone knows how to remove it completely, please, share ! :wink:

I asked some friends/communities to check and it tends to convince me : check your “mount equipment”.
Before we all open a bug report ticket (if we experience the problem, of course) I’d like to centralize informations, and I warmly suggest you to testify here :

If you have a druid, could you run this simple test :

  1. Use Travel form
  2. Fly onto water (deep enough to swim)
  3. Once your char shifted to swimming form, try to take off
  4. If you can’t manage to do so, check if you have a [mount equipement] on.
  5. If your drood flys without problem : confirm that you don’t have a [mount equipement] on.

Eventually : use the same form to share :
Fëaralda, 80, bugged, with mount equipment, tested in Valdrakken.

Please let us know if this can be corrected, or if there is a way possible to remove completely “mount equipment”.

I was one of the old topic creators. For me the issue is resolved, the only thing i changed is that i switched my flight model to the standard one. I am not sure if this was the fix though, let me try some of the other models and i come back to report my findings. I do have mount equipment: Anglers Water Striders equipped.

Edit: I tried all my available flightforms and then combined them with all different aquatic forms but they all work for me now. So i am not sure what fixed it for me, it just worked some day.

try using a cancelform macro. when it refuses to shift u in travel flying form.

That is exactly like i used to have, with the flight changing to steady flight automaticly instead of dragonriding as you got to shallow waters and got out. I really hope it will be fixed for you as well, because it is a very annoying thing to have ongoing.

Maybe it’s just a “Virtual Karma” problem XD
