When I press M and opens up my ingame map it only shows in the top left and everything else on the screen is black. I can also not see the top half of my map. Anyone know what the problem may be?

Not seen that myself. You might have more luck in technical support.
But you could get lucky here.
A simple fix for when it happens is to just zoom in and out any amount. That’s how I fixed it when I had that problem but I’m pretty sure it was caused by outdated addons.
I removed all addons, it did not fix it. It only centered the map so I can now see the complete map, but everything around it is still black and it is still very large.
I also tried to zoom in and out, did not fix it either.

Tried deleting your cache folder as well? (\World of Warcraft_retail_\Cache)
Sometimes that fixes weird UI-glitches I experience now and then.
You could also experiment with deleting the WTF folder, but make sure you take a backup first as that one contain all your profile settings for all your addons.

Deleting cache and such is somtimes necessary to make game look fresh. Addons are making changes to ui and it is saving there.
