Hi!
For last few weeks I was patiently farming “Operation: Shieldwall” reputation for a Grand Gryphon mount. Today finally I gained revered status and started the questline (“Operation: Shieldwall Campaign”) happy to finally wrap it up it and get the mount. To my sadness one of the first quest in chain can’t be progressed due to a bug - this making the quesline uncompletable and mount unobtainable. I’ve submitted ticket but currently it says it’s 9 days wait. I was so looking forward to finally progress it and the disappointment is so strong that I thought maybe escalating here would help. Especially that it seems it’s some new bug, possibly some leftover from Pandaria Remix changes.
In detail - the quest “The Best Around” has a noncompletable step “Take the portal to Deeprun Tram”. According to my research (Wowhead, YouTube etc.) this step wasn’t here before at all. Normally you should just take a portal to Stormwind and go to Deeprun Tram, which I did - completed all other stages, just this one can’t be done.
According to wowhead I was not the only one recently doing this quest and got stuck on this issue.
Can anyone from Blizzard help out? Progress missing step for me? Or escalate to devs?

I can see that this is being reported by other players as well and is currently under investigation.
As always, issues like this are best reported using the dedicated bug reporting tool, and not something you need to make a support ticket for.

I truly appreciate answering my inquiry and it’s great to hear this issue has been recognized (couldn’t spot any topics on forums though). So it’s a bit of hope. 
Nevertheless - reminiscing old days (been playing this game for 20 years) was hoping for more immediate solution, as I remember it used to be that GMs could help with issues like that very quickly and efficiently (tagging stuck quest complete etc.).

Oh damn… I was doing the same campaign but I’m not even close to that point. Considering how old bugs are being fixed (spoiler: they’re not) I might as well give up now. Thanks for the info.

same problem here, How to fix it?
My research shows the problem is that this quest was changed for Pandaria Remix (new teleport that goes to Deeprun Tram instead of Stormwind) and the updated quest made its way to retail somehow - BUT without the new teleport. In Remix there is supposedly new port that spawns after accepting the quest.
But we’re stuck on retail. 
No way to progress storyline/get the mount.
Support couldn’t help. I haven’t seen official recognition that this is being fixed anywhere, only here that it’s “under investigation”. Let’s hope for a quick resolution.

In their haste to release Remix and Classic Cataclysm at the same time it looks like the developers have left a lot of the Wrath/Cata(Original) for Classic and MoP - MoP remix in the game and not removed/added other bits, not realising that it would affect both retail and Remix. Currently a lot of the Guild Achievements are not working on Retail.
This should now be fixed.

It’s fixed! Haven’t expected that tbh.

Basically the objective still remains as "Take the portal to Deeprun Tram” however taking the regular Stormwind portal there now counts. Completed the quest and can continue forward.

Still bugged for me unfortunately.
Quest still shows 0/1 Take the portal to Deeprun Tram
The other 2 objectives are ok.
I used the portal back to Stormwind from Pandaria and then portal from the Dwarven district into the Tram. Not working for me.

Update: it wasn’t clear that the fix was to buy a portal not use the normal ones with Domination Point Commission x5. After purchasing one then it worked for me

hey if you still have this problem i have solution for you my friend buy “portal reagents to stormwind” from Proveditor Grantley it will complete first step portal to Deeprun Tram =D
