So if you never complete the war campaign you never see the statue. Seems reasonable. Probably would give me another good reason not to bother doing any more of the war campaign. I know the ending and its all over now anyway so there seems little point fighting in BfA anymore. Just see what the next expansion has to offer. I’m guessing the final phase here will be a raid anyway so that’s that then for this expansion. Like I say, I think I’d rather not have something that reminds me of it.

Just make a Spike Obelisk of Saurfang and other heroes in OG. ( but his name will be written in larger fonts and stating his deeds )

he was a bloodthirsty genocidal maniac that had a last minute redemption.
he killed unarmed stormwind citizens begging for their life, and enjoyed it.
a statue in orgrimmar would make sense, but not in SW

I think you have grossly misunderstood his character. He has been on a redemption run ever since his son died, once before the Wrathgate, and finally in the Frozen Throne.
Yes, he did enjoy the killing in the First Horde, but constant, pointless wars had him look inwards and regret them. His sacrifice wasn’t some last minute redemption, but the final crescendo of his decades long search for death and redemption.

Saurfang should probably have a memorial in Orgrimmar. Not a statue, just a simple memorial, like a smaller version of Varian’s in Stormwind.

Saurfang wouldn’t have wanted a statue in his “honor”. He hated himself and everything he’d done.

Except for the statue of Sylvanas the Forsaken built in Brill, and the giant Orc statues garrosh erected in Warsong Hold, I guess?

Here he will be remembered.The warrior who just changed specs from arms to fury, popped all his cooldowns then proceed to get parried and stuck in CC.Truly it mirrors a warrior’s death.

What makes it more funny is the fact that it was done in durotar dueling zone.

Summary

Hold ya horses on statues.If the leak is true,he will be back in the Shadowlands.
