Burning Crusade Classic Summer Events

The events will begin at 0:00 Midnight on July 23 (realm time) in all regions.

With Burning Crusade Classic launching only three weeks ago, we decided to postpone the Midsummer Fire Festival this year. It felt a little too soon to have players who might be taking their time feel the need to level up (or level up their alts) so they could make the most of Ahune, among other things. But we don’t want to skip a whole year, so we’ve decided to open the Midsummer Fire Festival in Burning Crusade Classic the week of July 20, 2021. It will return to its usual time coinciding with the real-world Northern hemisphere solar calendar in 2022.

Speaking of the week of July 20, there’s something else going on that week that we’re going to celebrate. The 2020 Summer Olympics is set to kick off that week, and we see that as the perfect opportunity to reintroduce the Spirit of Competition. This event only occurred once before in the history of WoW, to coincide with the 2008 Summer Olympics during the original Burning Crusade. We’re really looking forward to getting into the spirit again.

We’ll update the World of Warcraft blog with more details on both of these events in July.

Will those people who earned those items first time round have access to them or we will have to earn them a second time?

Would be cool If could get a pet with the country of Taiwan’s flag on it.

Wth, where is it?

First it was July 20th, then it was changed to July 21th and now it says July 23th? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Strange start date ! First day was 20th of July and last day should be 31th of July. So if now starts at 23th then when it will finish ?

So far not been able to start any of the quests for honoring the flames in instances / main cities, haven’t checked enemy capitals yet for distinguishing the flames.

Are we missing something, or are they just not in?

Oh Blizzard

Ahune is the best

Ahune! Finally!!

Many people are suffering from a BUG. After turning in the enemy capital’s bonfire quests, you cannot receive: A THIEF’S REWARD, and therefore, the crown.

I personally cannot also see the quests:
The Festival of Fire
Wild Fires in the Eastern Kingdoms
A Light in Dark Places

In any capital city. Please fix this.

Still bugged Blizzard. You’ve fixed it for people who haven’t already completed the capital quests, but for those who have, the quest is still inaccessible.

Fix the A Thief’s Reward bug.

It’s unreal how there is no actual response on this matter after several days of reported issues.

So, the event is due to end soon and this bug remains so no reward for all the players who stole the capital fires in the first few days. Top work as ever Blizzard, can see with all the support you’re putting in to the game it’s worth the subscription.

Really putting in the work here aren’t ya. Is community manager a real job. Does anyone from Blizzard actually read the forums any more?
