Burrow shaman PvP talent weak?

Hi everyone.

First of all I would like to thank Blizzard for doing really decent job in DF. I am having fun again after pretty long time. And that’s why we play games right? <3

New PvP talent Burrow is up in 10.1. and I am very excited. Shamans waited for this I dont even know for how long.

But I cannot get rid feeling that it’s pretty weak. :grimacing:

Yes nobody can attack us and we can move in it. But that’s pretty much all what is good about it.
It’s not useable in stuns. It is only 5s. I doesnt remove dots. Shaman cannot cast in it.

The most important is that you are trying guys and I really appreciate it. I am only trying to compare with other similar spells in the game and all of them are simply better version of this.

Have fun!

poor mans turtle, what else you expect for shamans that always get trash of other classes

The idea isn’t bad and the execution is funny, but it’s lackluster for taking up 1 pvp slot, mostly due to the 2mins cd and the dmg being low for that high of a cd. Also enha doesn’t have any talent slots available for it, so you will see a few eles and maybe restos play it into certain match ups, but that’s about it, at least in it’s current iteration.

I’d like to see the cooldown being lowered to 1.5mins and/or the dmg it deals being buffed.

If you can’t heal or be healed while using it it’ll be pretty weak, but if you can heal or be healed it’ll be pretty good

One thing i would love to see in general, is the whole elemental aspect of shamans fully utilized. Ele is all lightning and fire, while enhance (at least is supposed to be ) mostly air with a bit of everything else mixed in.
However the earth element is by far the least represented for both specs. I feel like Blizzard are missing a golden opportunity to have more defensive earth based abilities.
Even something simple like “flesh to stone” get damage reduction at expense of movement, or fully unable to move even for a while. Or make it an ability you can toggle off and on with a 30 second cooldown to prevent stance dancing. Sort of like a defensive stance where you would use it mostly vs melee cleaves since you cant afford the slow fighting ranged.
