Hey. What is a point of locking so many abilities behind a GCD. Lets take a prot pally. I love seraphim plays. But why must seraphim be on GCD. It got already a “drawback” of losing 2 shields. And shields are off GCD. Same with essence of Lucid Dreams. Going in to a pull i have to use 3gcds before i even drop a aoe to get agro. No wonder most of the people are using a passive defender talent and essences like vision of perfection.
Why do devs put so many work in stuff like essences, and then block them behind stuff like this so it make them not fun to play. I know that the expansion took a turn in the meanwhile, but we got some double standards here.
We got Lucid dreams reducing shield recovery time, that is on gcd and corrruption that randomly proc with even greater potential.
Not sure if its prot pala problem, but i didnt experience this on priest, dh, mages, druids and warrior specs.
TLDR
Seraphim and luci dreams should not be on GCD in my opinion. Do you guys have a builds that you would like to play but there are too much GCD problems?

or at least make those abilities have only 0.5 sec base gcd scaling down with haste.
As a fury I don’t even pop recklessness anymore when the boss is at like 1-2%. Using a gcd buffing yourself just feels awful.
How about just have it reverted to how it was in Legion.

Personally I’d like to see most cooldowns removed or make them share cd (like on-use trinkets). I prefer having constant dps with occasional 10% boost from cooldowns rather than having absurd damage during cooldowns and falling off to wet noodle category when they wear off.

You forgot Sweeping Strikes.
There are a lot of things that shouldn’t be on the GCD. Fair enough, there are a few bad offenders for Uber Death One-shot Macros but really those should be put on the GCD on a case by case basis.
I’d rather not sit there and have to wait 5 whole seconds of my character doing the YMCA before being able to efficiently deal damage.
Even if they won’t remove buff stacking from the GCD, at least allow us to us a buff and an offensive ability together. That would fill the hollow GCD.
Oh, and take defensives off the GCD altogether!

Humane definitely does miss his 5 in 1 buttons.
The only spec in legion that could do something resembling a oneshot macro was fury warrior because of the multiple dps cds they used to have. That would not be the case now, so your arguments about one button macros are stupid.

If you macroed SEF and ToD as ww, or Pillar + rune weapon as frost dk, or BW + Aspect as bm hunter, you were bad because that was highly suboptimal.

About time people found another argument in favour of GCD, because this one is as empty now and it was the first time people brandished it.
Clickbait videos, some of them were even about castsequence macros which have nothing to do with gcd.
There is a WW 1shot macro as well.

Literally the WW “oneshot macro” was a castsequence macro with all your abilities coming up one by one. Guess what? You can still do that with every class because HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GCD. And btw these macros are bad. You will gimp your dps a lot if you rely on those.
As WW in legion you could never make a oneshot macro because of GCD. You could only macro SEF(or serenity) and ToD, and then what? It was already suboptimal and no decent player would have done that.
And btw Minecraft doesnt even have macros for buttons lol

Just FYI, legion artifact had the trait that boosted ToD damage from a %% of damage you did until gone through. Therefore it absolute decent to macro SeF and ToD.
