I’m not trying to change your experience but one person’s experience does not make something fact that it’s always like that. Just about every guild I have been in has taken the socials through to get AotC to get their mount at the end of expansion.
Even the forum initiative discord/AD guild took people through and got them AotC for no charge at all. Streamers taking their members/views on runs is free, they give back to their communities. Ready Set Dragon is a community that is the complete opposite of what you claim the player base is. It’s friendly and helpful. There is also an equivalent on the US called Perky Pugs.
I have nothing against people buying boost but to make out the community never gives is just rubbish.
Why can’t you just join the guild that raids and just get it yourself. Heroic most of the times is not a big deal. Requires just group of players that practice together and then it should be possible. I don’t know about Ny’alotha but when I needed curve it was doable with not so much effort. Maybe next time make thread that you gather group of players who would like to raid together trying to get AotC. I’m sure that there are plenty of players who would like to try raiding but they are shy looking for raiding build or they have no experience. Raiding is amazing if you have group of nice people. Unless you have problem with regular playing try it in SL.
Currently it’s probably too late for such thing but I’d prefer people trying themselves and gathering instead of relying on boosts. Anyway gl guys on getting AotC.
Some of the boost offers for gold have been very tempting to me since i really like the mount but have barely played BFA end game and having no intention of doing so, the only thing that’s keeping me from it due to how cheap it is at this point is that i’ve heard that trading large sums of gold to other players can flag your account for real money trading? Is this the case or is it safe to trade a lot of gold to other players for carries?
Guilds carry their social members, I’m not sure what you mean by work for it. It is usually the players that would otherwise not get to see the raid or would have to buy a boost to get the AotC mount.
I don’t see them as giveaways but you clearly do and it’s not really arguing the semantics, it’s a free boost no matter how you want to twist it. They take a significant number of players through to get their AotC mounts. Some raise money for charity at the same time.
I don’t think the reasons for people buying boosts matter, if they want to buy they can buy. There is always going to be someone willing to take their gold if they have no friends, no community, no guild, no one, essentially who will take them through for free. People are free to spend their gold how they wish as long as it doesn’t break the rules.

They are obviously not the only boosting community out there but do be careful with scammers in trade, some pretend to be from boosting communities, so whoever you use, verify they are legitimate on their official discords first.

A lot of people simply don’t wanna invest the time required to participate in the end game of this absolute dumpster fire of an expansion believe it or not. If you haven’t been staying on top of the game and playing most of the expansion, the amount of crap you need to do for anyone to invite you to a heroic run is absurd.
You will need the most basic version of the cloak though.
That’s why I gave up and I’m waiting for Shadowlands. I don’t feel that AotC and this mount is worth this money but maybe for you it is. GL anyway.

Yeah, it’s subjective, but it’s pretty darn cheap. I’ve seen plenty of offers hovering around 50k gold on my server. That’s cheap, even for someone like me who pretty much never spends time grinding for gold. And it’s a unique mount model.

If you don’t like the mount, there is little point spending any money on it 
I like it but I don’t enjoy things I didn’t get myself. I wouldn’t probably use it anyway but I like the idea that’s timelimited. Such things are worth more.
That’s totally fair, I don’t use mine either, I didn’t even like it. I did love the Argus one last expansion though.

You are mistaken that all the playerbase is toxic and selfish. That is not to say that you haven’t encountered those types in the game. However that doesn’t mean that guilds, communities, friends etc do not help others in their respective groups, out of kindness and totally for free.
I’m sorry you haven’t had the pleasure of positive people in WoW.

Nobody cares about your corruptions in heroic, even less about essences and they dont even know which traits you should be using.
The only thing people look at is RIO and Ilv. You first go normal and do the 12/12. Then, AFTER getting the 12/12 normal or close to it, you join a “HEROIC FULL CLEAR” and stick to the raid. A wipe and half the raid leaves? You stay there.
You can get 6/12 heroic by doing this and with that you will likely get invited to carapace kill groups or nzoths ones.
Yes, it is a method that requires time and effort as it should.
I see people complaining about the reqs but have they worked for it?
I created a normal full clear and after 7 hours I did the 12/12 in only one day. (I had some heroic kills prev to that as people really dont ask for anything to kill wrathion)
Then after getting that I just cleaned the easy bosses of nyalotha and suddenly I started to get invited to every carapace/nzoth group.
Btw, I had 1k4 rio, 5/12 hero and my ilv was 468 once I got to the carapace/nzoth point. I worked hard for it and prob most people just want a fast kill after watching an 8 min video. (Yes, the guys complaining about the reqs also want an easy and effortless kill just like the guys asking for 475+ilv want)
