Consequently, if you happen to fall victim to a scam, you will need to address the issue individually with Blizzard to determine whether your gold or name can be restored.
Please also note that, that also means trading names for anything outside of the āgameā (IE: game time, store mounts / pets, etc) IS against the ToS and is ban-able.

Seems pretty redundant to offer gold in exchange for a name. For example, I donāt currently play. I have several āOG namedā alts. But gold for their names wouldnāt feel worth it when I donāt play.
I did āsellā a name once to a lovely person who just asked me nicely. I wasnāt using it. He wanted it. So I gave it up. It depends on who the person behind the screen is and their connection to the name their character has.
Plus, people with these āOG namesā are highly aware of their rarity. Thus, would ask for high prices. Iāve been offered 9mil for Bee, and honestly thatās not enough.
Edit: Bee is NOT for sale. None of my characterās names are.

1# Love.
2# Share (given my IRL nickname is also Bee).
3# Raises the āpriceā of my account even further (not that Iām going to sell it, but if weāre talking about the cost of names and stuff, having a 3 letter name for a main character is Ā£Ā£Ā£).
Isnāt advertising names to sell a good way for the trolls just to mass report said name and get the automated/forced name change? Surrenders the name instantly that way, doesnāt it?
