Cache of Acquired Treasures feedback

Greetings

I have been playing with the Cache of Acquired Treasures trinket for about a week now and I have gathered some thoughts on it. As a disclaimer: I don’t pvp. I don’t know anything about pvp. Therefore, this post is focused only on raid and m+.

For raid the current version is fine but it is kinda janky to play with… like for example the cycle sometimes restarts with sword on pull - sometimes it doesn’t. Why is this not consistent? Also, why is the cycle time not showed in game? Knowing when the trinket cycles is insanely important. There is a weakaura out there that resolves this issue, but it shouldn’t be necessary to use a weakaura to optimally use a trinket.

My main issues are the uses in m+. For some reason, you can only activate the sword and axe buff if you have a target - and if you do, you engage the pack. That means if you want the axe and it is just about the cycle away you have to egg your tank on to pull right now or he’s going to ruin your damage. The way that works is kinda toxic. If you could just activate the trinket without engaging the mob you can easily prepop the trinket and wait for the tank to be ready to pull and still get the benefit of the trinket.

I suspect this issue comes from the fact that the single target nuke wand option obviously requires a target, but it seems like lazy coding that that forces the two other options, which are just buffs on yourself, to also require a target.

Furthermore, after the trinket comes off of CD it has to wait for the internal 12 second cycle window to reset before you get the sword buff and starting the cycle all over again, effectively increasing the already long 3 min cd by some arbitrary amount that you have no control over.

To sum up:

  1. The most important change: make sword and axe activatable without a target so you don’t lose the buff you want because there is nothing to target.
  2. Make the on-pull interaction consistent in raid: have it reset to sword or have it continue cycling. Just make it consistent.
  3. Make the cycle start from sword immediately after the trinket comes off of CD instead of having to wait for the current cycle to complete.
  4. The internal cycle time should be displayed in-game, somehow.

Thank you for reading
