We can cage and sell pets, why not mounts…?

More options to buy mounts that you haven’t had any luck with farming etc.
Or sell if you have got duplicates.

True, but I didn’t quite mean like that. I meant for pretty much every mount that you can collect. Even dungeon / raid drop mounts.

because just like pets, some mounts are soulbound and cant be sold.

Well yeah.
But I’d like for that to change to get more options to buy / sell mounts!

Ps: Edited the first post to make it a bit more clear what I meant.

So are you saying you want to be able to buy and sell every mounts that it’s possible to obtain?

That kind of defeats the point of why some of these mounts can’t be sold/bought.

At this rate, I don’t really see the harm in allowing at least some more mounts to be able to be sold. Then again I have been mount farming since TBC, it’s quite the bit of a time sink and sometimes I get duplicates. I was thinking making obtaining some of the mounts easier wouldn’t hurt. :slight_smile:

So many people who simply don’t want to understand the op.
It isnt that otherwordly to be able to sell mounts, is it? Its kinda frustrating when you loot a mount you already have, and you have to destroy it, eventhough a friend or guildmate would be very happy with it.
Or it would have made you very happy if you could sell it for a lot of gold.
Saying it deflates the whole purpose… meh.
We can sell by far most pets and mogs. What makes this any different?

Kinda like the idea, but let’s face it, if we would be able to sell any mounts, many rare ones would lose their charm in process. Having some things as purely BoP makes them more rare and gives people something to farm for.

To me this would be a nice change, the prices would probably be insane tho making me not be able to afford them anyway! :sweat_smile:
But indeed i don’t think this will ever happen…

Yeah, having a few mounts as world drops able to be sold is fine, but certain mount drops lose what’s special about them if you could just be a whale and buy everything rather than farm the mounts you want yourself. Even if mounts like Invincible lost their initial prestige, it’s still exciting when you do see it drop.

I have to agree with the op, for example I would love to be able to buy Invincible off the AH, because WOW does not have many flying horses in game and I prefer horses, but it would be some insane amount probably like the price it occasionally goes for on the black market AH.

Of course WOW could simply cut out the middle man and sell these mounts via the store for some insane amount of real life cash, but that would probably cause players to rebel in droves.

Good idea but bad idea at same time say for example ive done over 1k+ kills for Mims head it already comes up on BMAH and goes for silly money if it was on normal AH same would be true leading to more people buying gold and wrecking the already bad server ecomny’s.

That… would instantly make me stop caring about mounts.

Pets being cageable made me stop caring about them, despite collecting them quite heavily pre-MoP. If I stop caring about mounts then I’ll pretty much have nothing left to do in the game, since mount farming is all I do these days.

Why spend months or even years farming for something if you can just buy it off the AH?
