I recently upgraded from a 1080p monitor to a 1440p(with gsync) and ever since it feels like wow doesn’t play as smooth anymore with my main annoyance the camera when I’m moving and looking around with right click. It’s like when I’m moving around with right click it has issues with my moving speed, it almost feels like it stutters because of that. Like the smallest slowdown in moving my mouse to turn/look around results in weird stutter.
Does this make sense because I’m having a hard time describing it lmao.
I have pretty much the same issue that you do and I noticed it like 2 days ago for the first time and haven’t found any solution to it so far. For some reason when I push the right mouse button to move the camera/turn the character, it feels slower or more sluggish than before and sometimes my character gets stuck in action because of it as well. It feels like it doesn’t “grab” the character as snappy as before and it makes doing stuff less precise which is really annoying when I’m trying to tank content, because you’d like precision there always (not that you don’t want it everywhere else). Would really like to find a solution to this as I’ve tried quite a few things already. Not sure if they messed something up in the most recent hotfix/patch.
So yeah, you’re not alone and what you typed makes sense to me as I’m experiencing the same myself.
I’ll list the things I’ve tried so far below, but I’d also like to emphasize that I’ve never had this problem before and nothing in my system has changed apart from the latest Nvidia drivers. No new addons, no new software.
Turned my mouse software off and set polling from 1000 to 500
Reinstalled my mouse software
Repaired WoW
Tried raw mouse 0 and 1 console commands
Like I said, nothing’s changed on my end, so I think it’s probable that something in WoW itself was changed in the last few patches hotfixes as I haven’t had this issue before.
Please fix it or offer a solution for it because this makes the game much harder to play and enjoy.
Sorry I don’t mean to necro, this is the only thread anywhere I’ve found that has the same issue as mine.
Whenever I move my camera with right-click, it’s almost like I can move the camera frame by frame. If I move the camera quickly then there is no issues. It ruins the immersion and makes the game feel choppy. My FPS is constantly 140+ (limited to 144) and it’s not FPS related.
