Donā€™t do it if you donā€™t enjoy it.
There are tons of mounts available through other methods if thatā€™s your thing.

Play nighttime or if you canā€™t, early mornings. I tried to solo Ha-Li at around 4am because there wasnā€™t a soul around, failed, skipped it. And I got it a few days later, daytime.

i cant even fly in bfa. so imagine my shock when i saw some mount soundless in nazjatar but couldnt reach him in time . got zerged by horde scum. SAD.

After finishing my 400 mount achievement I see no reason in camping these rares with low drop chances for mounts. I let Blizzard themselves to enjoy this farm.

How do you enjoy it? Or give an example how/why anyone could enjoy it?

I donā€™t. So I donā€™t do it.

In my view itā€™s an alternative to

a) Making it a rep reward ; everyone has it, no longer a rare mount.

b) Making it a random drop; everyone complains about RNG.

c) Putting it in a Paragon box; everyone complains about RNG and grind (quite rightly)

d) making it a raid drop; people complain about elitism.

Having it a rare spawn is just one of the many ways other mounts are acquired. So unless you want all mounts to be guaranteed drops for everyone some of them are going to end up stuck behind methods of acquisition you donā€™t like.

Iā€™m not complaining about other methods of attaining rare mounts. In fact, all other methods you listed are far SUPERIOR to the current system in my opinion, as you can slowly and surely work towards (except for d. point, but im 100% OK with Raid drop mounts)

You have still not explained, how and why ANYONE could enjoy the current system that I describedā€¦

No. Camping is not fun.

But getting the mount is - and as I say above there are only so many way to keep a mount actually rare.

Would you say there is no other method to making these rares actually rare? Game engine limit? Designers not creative enough?

As that seems the only problem - developers are trying to make them rare - but at the cost of fun.

Are you saying that developers INTENDED to have current camping solution to be fun, but it failed?

You ask why?

What is the intention of a game? To entertain?

You yourself said you donā€™t enjoy it. You and I pay money for product to entertain us, do I not have a right to express my dissatisfaction with the product?

After all this discussion NOONE gave 1 example of how and why is this enjoyableā€¦

now the only solution is either to make enough gold to buy mounts or buy tokens to get gold and get mounts out of auction house . or be stuck in an endless lottery chance for winning a mount out of a mob.
but then again this is what the game demands .

One time I camped for Aeonaxx for 15 days straight, pretty much 24/7 until I got him :stuck_out_tongue:
I found it kinda fun.

Iā€™m not knocking of how people make their fun, but few questions:

Did you control your character during that time? Move it to the other zone, maybe helped a friend run in a dungeon?

If the game would have allowed you to camp offline and collect the reward, would you have done it?

I donā€™t think so. I rarely ever moved out of Deepholm. I was doing other stuff at the same time, like watching TV shows, Youtube, chatting, making transmogs

That would kinda defeat the purpose. Youā€™d be rewarded for not doing anything, and the mount would be less rare that way

No of course - you absolutely have the right, but you are coming across like itā€™s some new slight by Blizzard when rare spawns have been a staple of the MMO genre literally since inception.

I donā€™t think Blizzard is trying to spite you - or us with making some of the hundreds of mounts rare spawns.

Iā€™m sad for you if one of the mounts you want is locked behind a method you donā€™t like.

The idea was that Iā€™m going to waste all my time on WoW anyway, so either I will do dungeons or whatever, or I will camp for a few days and get a rare mount
