My razer naga side buttons make use of the numb pad which is fairly common.
Button ‘5’ on my Naga is bound to ‘Numb pad 5’ which is fine, i can also use Shift modifiers like normal however when i try to Keybind in wows interface using ‘Shift+Numb 5’ nothing happens, it won’t even let me input it into the keybind menu, simply nothing happens.
Iv checked my macros and i have none using ‘shift’ in them.
Iv tried pressing the button combo and nothing happens so there’s clearly nothing on that key, and normally wows interface would tell you ‘shift+numb pad5 unbound’ if something was originally bound to it.
Does anyone have a clue what’s stopping me from using this action?
I think it’s the nature of the numpad buttons themselves, that implies special behavior when combined with Shift.
I think you’ll find that ALT or CTRL (or both) likely do work fine, which may be the solution to your problem.
The reason the numbers other than 5 do seem to work is because their Shift-counterparts all exist. So binding Shift+Numpad2 likely results in binding Shift+DownArrow, needless to say this may have annoying side-effects, so i’d recommend going with CTRL or ALT or CTRL+ALT instead, and leaving Shift alone when it comes to numpad-related things.
