I get the reward system is already broken but if they had delves progressively become more difficult i.e. more mobs, health and damage, mini boss spawns. Have the reward progress accordingly, I’d fall in love with it. Other than the achievement on 11s. There isn’t any point to doing anything past 8. Unless there’s something I’m missing? Hope these evolve more. I’m a masochist in this, I want the challenge. But also for it to be possible… at least until it isn’t. World rankings for highest tier reached would be entertaining.

I suppose the reward doesn’t have to be better gear. But something is better than nothing. I don’t get why the reward system in general doesn’t scale proportionately. I don’t do mythic specifically because the small increase isn’t worth the exponentially more difficult content.
ilvl gear shouldn’t improve, but they should reward more Runed Crests and potentially even some Gilded Crests.
Something that prevents it from being dead content and give players an incentive to do them.
This is a good idea. The bounty maps offer gilded already, but that’s a random drop. The earlier tiers drop one extra crest per tier in sets of four until tier eight at two runed. So why not have nine and ten build from there with eleven hitting one gilded? I suspect it’s to slow progression so the next season can support this, which honestly makes sense but even if it were just gold it would still be better.
I don’t think they do really, anything that scales up rewardwise only does so till tier 8, I have yet to see an exception
Maybe amount of undercoin cause I don’t focus on those too much but companion exp, crests, ilvl, bountiful rewards, it all seems to cap off at 8 without exception
What makes more sense to me is that they intend the ceiling for delves to be 619 with maybe 1 or 2 fully upgraded hero track items, with mythic vault giving hero track gear mostly to incentivize you to start doing dungeons or raids to get those crests to upgrade them more consistantly.
I would rather have your suggestion but realistically if I am correct about them wanting to incentivize going to dungeons and raids for consistant crests I am not sure how realistic it is to expect it
I think you’re right, I don’t think the incentive is effective. Seems mythic works the same. At which point why would you go through the stress of content with others when you know the enjoyment isn’t going to be there. I’m geared to start doing M+ but unless I start from the bottom (rightfully so) I’d be useless in a plus 8 that would offer any meaningful upgrade. Plus, I’m slow. I use macros to assist with that and with delves, even I with time to do so, am able to complete it. So why would I put myself and others though the headache? I won’t be able to keep up. Guess I just want all sides of the content to be scaled better, which I realize now, is something they are probably already working on.
Key context, I’m not a twitch trick shot clutch gamer. My reaction time is not able to keep up with a timed instance. I’m not sad about it, people who can do that are impressive and deserve higher reward. Just salty I guess cause they both have such small caps. Seeing as next season it all gets reset.
ilvl should improve. The T11 delves have an ilvl requirement listed that’s higher than what is even obtainable through them.

Probably not, since not much is gonna change with season 2 release.
If you missed previous seasons, ALL content gets buffed as well as the rewards. That means that all delves will drop better gear, but will also get buffed to be harder, thus end up in the “same place” as now.
My money would be on them changing in 11.1.5 with horrific visions as another take on delves for harder content and better gear.
In the first month in, after TWW launched, a rumor circulated that higher than “8” delves drop rare cosmetics.
I have found it rather untrue, at least from my own exp.
But it would be cool to get some cool stuff out of harder difficulties.

getting two-shot by a caster because the scaling is whack isn’t what I’d call a reward.
Just for the record, this is not a “requirement”, but merely a recommendation based on average ( = potato) performance, just as it was in torghast… you can run into 11 delves with Itemlevel 0, the system will not stop you from trying. Whether or not it´s a good idea depends primarily on how well you can play… For ex mage: If you don´t know you class can cc, counterspell, spellsteal, root, slow, etc… and just facetanks everything, then you´re “probably” going to need better gear that someone that actually knows what he´s doing and sheeps the threadmancer before frostbolt pulling the skirmisher and bursting down the Captain ![]()
I don’t like getting two-shotted by caster mobs on T11, even when wearing 619 gear.
The T10 and T11 as tank are honestly anything but fun.
Granted, it really depends on the delve in question, but if any of Zekvir’s mobs spawn…it’s pretty much a lost run.
