Can dracthyr fly with its own wings?

Probably like the DH double jump most likely. I doubt they can fly on their own

Check out the article on wowhead.com called " Dragonflight Interview with AusGamers - Exploration, Dragonriding, & Familiar Faces" it details the following: “Dracthyr have wings so they get to fly and they use the same style of momentum and gravity that dragonriding drakes do."

I am not sure where you got this from, got a source for it beoynd what Graham Berger said that contradicts this?

Only thing was what was mentioned of them having the ability to glide, nothing more.

I saw on Wowhead it can fly properly and they showed an animation for it. The animation didn’t look like gliding it looked like flying but uhhh… Who knows just whispers and rumours right now until we see it with our own glorious eyeballs in game

I hope so aswell, imagine being a dragonkind super soldier with wings, n not being able to fly, pretty lame, kinda lame that DH’s cant fly aswell tbh.

  • Dracthyr will have access to the baseline form of dragonriding using their own wings, but the “upgraded versions that players will earn through dragonriding” will require using the dragon companion.

  • Dracthyr can fly outside of the Dragon Isles without a mount, though it’s more like an enhanced form of gliding than actual flight.

holy moly and I thought double jumping DHs were zooming, imagine being a warrior and dealing with that in PvP

I think the second part of that statement is a bit inaccurate. I’ve seen the combat, and there’s a few attack animations where you’re flying slowly pretty low to the ground but it’s not like you’re zooming around at top speed 50 meters above the ground dropping all sorts of spells

It would be putting a good amount of melee specs at a great disadvantage.
so it is probably wrong as you say.

Dw about it, plenty of people post stuff completely unrelated to AD or RP on these forums and no one bats an eye at those posts, take it with a pinch of salt, as to answer your question apparently so! I cant wait!
