Dumass is probably one of the greatest characters ever created. He turned your boring levelling into something entertaining, and you found yourself bonding with that brainless, yet lovable oaf.
My question to you is, if he was to make an appearance in Shadowlands, how would you introduce him? This would be my take.
Player sees an excited Forsaken run up to them Dumass: HELLO! HI! Player: Uh… Dumass, what are you doing here? Dumass: I FOLLOWED A BIG FURRY BEAR TO MAKE HIM MY PET, BUT THEN I WOKE UP HERE!
The player then helps Dumass return his spirit to his body. Dumass still not the wiser as to what actually happened to him. As a reward you receive Dumass’s Boot.
Don’t torture my boy Dumass please, I like him.
Orkus was the biggest hero of the Horde hands down.
Even that annoying belf was funny, what was his name?
HAH, good luck with that. I’m sure the other half isn’t allowed.
Yeah, I think he’d be wandering around the Maw. At least it’d make that place more interesting with Dumass’ presence.
I certainly don’t want to torture him! That’s why I made sure his death was quick and painless, AND you get to help him return the world of the living… also teach him to stay away from bears.
Ohhh the belf. I think it was Johnny something? The over-confident guy with the store mount and full heirlooms lmao
Truly! I loved how all three characters resembled real WoW players you’d run into.
Johnny Awesome, the entitled forum complainers. The true embodiment of retail players, fitted from head to toe in heirlooms while riding his shining steed.
Kingslayer Orkus, the veteran. These people have been around since WoW’s creation. They are the elite. They are better than you. They also think Classic is better than Retail.
Dumass, the over-zealous newbie adventurer. Very excited to be playing the game, but have literally no idea what they’re doing. They’re just happy to be here.
And the way they put you in the position of the quest giver is really entertaining. I always wanted to be a quest giver for a change, felt good
The Forsaken quests just have a nice flavor to them. Reminds me why I love them so much. In the light of recent events it feels good to bring some Undead love. Thank you for that.
His spirit always with us. If you die don’t run to your corpse go to the nearest town (forgot name) and you will find him in the center with his dragon mount.
Welcome to the machine
The starting point of the glorious quests.
I first came in to contact with those quests thanks to Totalbiscuit, one of his cataclysm beta videos.
He had some nice voice overs for the three characters.
I targetted and can see Kasha, flying a circle around the town, alighting for a while on the rock outcropping near the centre, and on the gazebo above Melisara:
I couldn’t target “Orkus” or “Kingslayer Orkus”, and while there might be a shadow of Orkus, I think it’s because I’m squinting so hard trying to find one.
