In my guild someone placed a crafting order and they provided all tge materials needed. I am able to start doing that crafting order but I am not 100% sure that I can make that itrm with thr highest item level, even thought the highest quality item is required to be made. Can I fail to do that crafting order, or since I can start it it is guarunteed that I will create the right item?

it will fail if someone oder tier 5 quality and u craft tier 4 u simple have to craft to u get tier 5 
Ok but like what if I craft tier 4, do I than need to use my mats until I get tier 5 or what?
If you are not guaranteed to achieve the minimum quality specified by the commissioner, you cannot even attempt the craft. At this point, you just cancel the order and they get their materials back.
