I wanted to buy a wow token and redeem it at a later date, but forgot to.
I read that if you press the activate now button on the char select screen you’ll instantly get the 30 days, so could I by chance get a day of game time to buy it?

If you have the gold (across all characters on the realm) to afford a token, the option should be there to buy a game time with a token on the character selection screen.

I am sorry to say that this isn’t something we can assist with via the forums.
The best thing you can do right now is to open up a ticket to talk to a Game Master so that they can see if there are any options that might help you pick up a token.
How in the world do you open a ticket nowadays?
Just use “That Button” when you are ready to activate it, maybe.
The “Open a Ticket” option only appears for issues that the GM’s can and are authorized to assist with. Free Gametime, I don’t believe is one such issue.`
The only thing you could really do, is open a ticket on a “made up” issue that they CAN help with, then do a “Surprise! What I really wanted was…”, which would be rather low, and frowned upon.
