I don’t mind losing some battlegrounds, but sometime I don’t want to play a game when after 2/3 minutes, I see my team getting farmed and I can’t do anything myself to help them and turn the battleground in my favor.
It happen way more since the new Blizzard changes about honors. Now, you often see many 7-8k hp player with blue/green gear, green gems, low enchant quality, they are dead weight in your team.
You can leave it right away, no need to afk. Right click the BG icon around minimap and choose “leave battleground”. There is no danger of getting banned doing this.
It might be actually faster to type “/afk” than it is to right click a map icon and choose and option to leave. But that’s just preference.
I agree that this is an actual legitimate way to exit a BG you dont want to be in, and there should to my knowledge be no penaly to doing this repeatedly, other than 15 min deserter debuf you get.
Excuse me, but you cant measure hp = bad gear. 8k hp on a restodruid for example is literally T5+T6 geared, while 8k on a hunter or rogue is low geared.
If I were you i would not risk it you might get an account suspension for that someone could rat you out, i often get insulted for not giving up but not only it goes faster playing but there is also the risk being suspended…
I never afked in a BG but sometimes I still play when its all lost. I am pretty sure some people reported me because I was still participating while others were already just standing.
What do you think about this? Am I risking being banned or is it safe to keep playing? Is the system clever enough? I dont think so…
If enough people report you, you will indeed get an automated ban. You can then appeal it and when a human looks at it, he should, most likely, lift it in a day or two, if you are lucky.
You can get banned if you have no logs showing that you are partic in the bg as well.
So if you play rogue and stealth and actually still playing. But you are only stealthing and retaking towers. And actually still helping the team. You can also get banned this way. Sadly!
