Can i go in Sanctum of Domination if i did not SL campain?

Hey !

I never did this campain on any of my characters.
Is that possible to go in sanctum of dom by myself without completing the campain?
I’m actually trying to complete it but i’m totally lost.

I went as far as the quest where we have to free Baine in the Tower of the Damned.
And now I don’t know what I should do?
Even though I look on wowhead, everything seems so complicated, especially since I don’t speak perfect English so it’s difficult to follow well.

In fact, I’m currently giving myself a little challenge: do as many raids as possible solo by playing the raids from the old expansions (I’m 80 ilvl 600+ on my main char).
I think I can go as far as those in SL but now I’m stuck getting to the sanctum

Thanks in advance  and sorry for my bad english

I skipped that whole expansion and I went in yesterday

yeah but… how?

Are you not able to just go into the entrance?

Yes, there are huge iron gates everywhere preventing me from accessing the area. Additionally, when I walk from the beast warrens, I take damage and get fear (it seems to me) regularly.
If I try to access the raid with the goblin glider technique, the game glitches and a voice tells me that I “have nothing to do there”

edit: oh, and it’s very annoying but I can’t use my mount anywhere

For this i think you need to do some campaign in Korthia, we couldnt mount in the maw at the start of shadowlands iirc.

Not sure abt the rest, maybe the raid is also locked behind some of the kortiha campaign, i dont remember. Hope someone can help you.

yeah, i’m a bit lost about all those campains. Am i far from this “Kortiha” campain?

I am not sure, its been so long since i played shadowlands. Also have no idea if you need to complete the campaign u’re on now to get to the korthia part. Sorry i cant be more of help to you.

This seems to be the quest chain to unlock mounting in the maw: https://www.wowhead.com/storyline/maw-walkers-1225

okay thanks !
I’ll try to figure it out by myself…
I choose necrolords as covenant.

It seems like there are a huge amount of quests to do with them, but is that necessary to reach the sanctum?

I’m currently doing the quests involving the runecraver, but that too I don’t know if it’s necessary.

If there is another questd to trigger, nothing is indicated anywhere…

edit :

ok, I was able to progress a little.
I switched my game to English, which triggered an automatic quest in Oribos. So I’m on the “chains of domination” quests and I can mount in the maw now.
The thing is, if I understand correctly, there are still a ton of quests to do to advance. from which quest I could go to the Sanctum?

I mean, two things are stopping me from going there at the moment: The big iron gates (if i try to reach the sanctum
in a conventional way ) and that famous voice that tells me that “I have nothing to do there” if I try to use the goblin glider shortcut : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmEpOa9AJyo.

If you watch the video, I tried this, but just when the game is supposed to load the new map, my character glitches in the air and I hear this voice.
The first time I relogged twice to get rid of this glitch (and die), I almost thought I would have to contact a GM because i was stuck.
(Don’t hesitate to tell me if this glitch is considered a bug exploit and that I risk a sanction for it)

Sanctum of Domination was linked to the Korthia campaign so you may unfortunately have to get that done before the raid becomes available. If this your first time ever setting foot in Shadowlands then chances are you won’t be eligible for the campaign skips. If it’s any consolation the Korthia campaign takes about 1 to 2 hours to open up the last part of the Maw and Venaari gives you a portal option to the area with the Sanctum entrance.

Be aware though that soloing SoD is perfectly viable right up to Kel’Thuzad, then the dreaded “split the raid into two” mechanic kicks in and you will be insta wiped.

You may also be able to go the time honoured route of having a group and get summoned through the summoning stone or a warlock portal directly into the raid.
