Can I make a DK without a 55 lvl character? (Cataclysm)

Hi, I would like to try Cata again while waiting for MoP Classic and I want to play a DK. Can I make a DK without having a 55 lvl character? Can someone try it for me pls. Thx

The Cataclysm prepatch is live and I went and tried to create a DK on a realm I’m not based on and was met with this message

So I believe the restrictions are being kept in place.

You could always level something up now, in order to make one.
