Yes. I’ve seen ppl tank M15s with that ilvl…
Ofcourse M+ is eassier than raiding but NM is nerfed beyond believe so it’s basicly an M10 now 
Can you? Maybe, but should you? Nope. It’s too far into the patch to be running with super low gear in normal raids where people will be expecting a clean smooth run. Your gear is awful with no enchants and you can get big upgrades just by doing ZM, some low level M+, the timewalking weekly, even random BG’s for upgraded PVP items. At the very least you should quest for your free 2nd legendary.

ah thank you, actually i thought i should try to tank the normal raid so i GET upgrades from it

blizzard always designs content that you can run with the gear form 1 tier below…
- you have level / quest gear → go LFR → drops 239
- (or buy, craft gear , other catch-up mechanics)
- your ilvl is 239 → go nhc → drops 252
- get 252 ilvl → go hc → drops 265
- get 265 ilvl → go mythic → dropp 278
same ish works for m+ too ^^
but depening on how good your / your groups skill is that ilvl diff can / should be changed:
- lets say the raidgroup only invites ppl with -5 ilvl that drops (casual skill)
- or even +5 ilvl that drops (smooth farm runs, farming logs etc)
- worst case ur skill is awful and u loose to a dungeon/boss where ur ilvl is better than what drops there
and on top that whole system can be outplayed like a boost… so a group is carrying you even when ur 50 ilvl lower … etc (or gets easier with non ilvl player power: conduits, reknown, legendary, tier, sockets …)
(a m+15 example is: if you had bis gear from last patch / were a good player or mythic raider… you got your KSM in first week with ~255 ilvl … nowadays you can carry 1 afk player in a +15 if others were 265+ ilvl… because they got on top tier set and double legy thats a player power boost outside of ilvl)
Ah nice thank you for the help. I guess i can around zeris mortis a bit then, but M+ is just too stresful with the timer and too hard with knowing what to pull everywhere for minimum time/100%
So i will try my luck, see if some normal groups are desperate enough for a tank even if he is low haha
As much as I hate to say this, however, do M0+ first, buy 262 item, which costs around 3-5k gold in the AH, get 4 pieces from m+ be it 5±10+, and convert them into raid tier pieces.
You can always go to raid, but for faster catch up do low lvl m+.

+4 is really scary i think, M0 should be alright and i do have 5k gold? didn’t know you can “just buy” equip with that high ilvl…is it one of those “you can only have one of these equipped” items? or can i buy 8 different ones of them?

I find M+ less stressful than Raids, maybe for each their own.
As for the 262 gear, it is only 1 equipped, so you cannot get all 8.
I’d go for ring/neck/or some off-set gear.
i find raiding the most stressfull, since you run dungeons all Addon long, you are able to pick up all routes - there will be a time you make this eyes closed.
I never played tank, but i know what to pull and what not. And tbh - it doesnt matter on those keylevels, if you play out the correct route or not. No one will be mad at you if you dont play MDI routes on +15 Keys and if they do, they have no idea.
Try M+, its way more flexible then raiding and only depending on 5 ppl, not 20-30 potentail failures.
If you were in an organised guild and it was earlier in the patch where everyone is progressing sure. But learning the ropes this late into a tier in I presume a pug would be a disaster for everyone involved. Also, the raids tend to be a bit overtuned for the gear, it’s probably the hardest raid tier ever released too.
Should just point out that Asmongold went into the normal mode raid with a group better geared than you and they wiped hard for hours, never getting past the 3rd boss. Nobody has time for that when you can get ilvl252 from dailies and world quests, a 265 legendary from the campaign. You got your 262 crafted item as mentioned above too, weekly vault even for a +2 gives a 252 and you could reasonably clear up to a 9-10 with some good dps/healer no problems. Don’t forget to convert some items at the Catalyst for your tier set bonus, it makes a really big difference just to have the bonus.
Get some enchants though, they are cheap as hell and make a big difference.
