Can male Humans get a rework of their run animation?

To put it plainly, Blizzard… Male Humans run like they have a :poop: in their pants and need to find a rest room as quickly as possible.

And I don’t mean the general run animation. I mean the one that displays when “sprinting”.

We aren’t in the 2004s anymore. You surely can make a better “sprinting” animation than that.

It’s nothing major. It doesn’t need to be fixed asap. But it would be nice if that would be addressed in the future.

Not the only race that needs some animation updating, cleanup etc. Male belf’s have a really bad running animation too, its really stiff looking. Its like they cant give a natural looking running animation just so that the races look different even when running.

They need some work on their faces and hair as well

Did someone mention Male Zandalari yet?

Human males should get a remodel entirely… I’d actually play one if they didn’t look like Cubix the robot.

And all their faces are made too look as truck ugly and dumb looking as possible.

Personally I don’t see the necessity there. But that’s just me.

try making one without a beard… They look like they where all dropped on the head as babies. Or suffered severe Alcohol damage.

I mean, considering how popular drinking is in WoW, I would say it fits.

As touche and mastefully played that reply is… And true  Just look at the Dracthyr and the Elves (Night elves males not included) And You can see blizzard intentionally made the Humans look the dumb drunk way they did…

Blizzard knows how too make better/more handsome faces than that… they intentionally for whatever reason. Made Human males look this way

I think both male and female humans run like they really have to go number 2 :joy:

This. Their arms and hands look ridiculous as well. Should also have two different models for the male - sry, type 1 - model: slim one for casters and a bulky one for melees (though the latter is something all races and bodytypes need anyway).

To be fair, I have played several MMORPG games where the developers just can’t seem to hit the nail with Male looks.

  • Elder Scrolls Online (depending on race)
  • Destiny 2
  • WoW

The only MMORPG I played that didn’t had bad male look options was SWTOR and that’s due to the game having an art style that has barely any detail in skins and body textures.

Blizzard knows though… Don’t be fooled… Look at Turalyon? Look at Kadghar and anduin and Varian…

They know how too make handsome human males when they wont too. They just deliberatly make us the players look fugly

Probably to have a laugh about us :stuck_out_tongue:

I think both Male and Female Humans need a rework - they both look like they’re going to trip over whilst running on tip toes.

Honestly, I think this is an issue to all regular looking* humanoids.

As somebody who’s real job is to actually deal with postural deviations, dysfunctions and so forth as well as gait cycle I can tell you most of these races are messed up!

The most glaring one of all has to be the belf/velf model. Their standing posture suffers from a lateral and anterior shift. This would cause quite a bit chronic lower back pain as well as potential hip issues like osteoporosis around the iliac crest, arthritis on the iliosacral joint, and god knows what else.

Their fighting stance is even worse, but that’s very tricky to do right. Fencers, boxers etc all tend to have some sort of postural adaptation to their sport if they don’t put in the extra work to take care of themselves.

*Regular as in, standing on 2 feet with 5 toes so humans, elves, orcs, dwarves etc. No hooves or paws.

And not female Draenei with their race-wide heavy case of scoliosis?

It’s just hard to draw a real life parallel as the ankle joint and existence of tail dictates a completely different anatomy and movement. One could even say that their spinal curves are more acute because Draenei hips sit in a different position in relation to their feet.

We often refer to a term called joint stacking so your ankle, knee hips, rib cage, shoulders and skull are all nicely aligned. Draenei and taurens have a completely different lower body anatomy which would affect how the above principle applies to them.

Really wondering if “fantasy chiropractic” is a job now.

Well, they certainly could add it as a joke into WoW

Why not? After all, some people take the term “mythozoologist” quite seriously, like you know people who’d argue and catalogue the anatomical difference between a dragon, drake, wyrm, wyvern etc… So yeah… I’d fit right in!

Blizzard I will happily work for you as a consultant in “mythophysiology”. You got my details, let me know! :sunglasses:
