Hello Ladies and Gents , i am farming for “Rhinestone Sunglasses” , its an world drop item for jewelcrafting profession and can only be dropped for jewelcrafters (Cata Exp) , my question is can it be drop from this NPC “Young Crocolisk”? the chances are not good less then 0.01 drop chance , but i am farming it for hours and killed +5000 mobs , and still havent got it , getting kinda frustrated haha !!
I am not an experienced farmer of this design as I have yet to reach Cataclysm content in regards to my recipe grinding, but according the ‘Unlearned’-tab it drops from (Cataclysm zones) World Creatures. According to that, it technically can drop from Young Crocolisks.
However, according to the comments on the Wowhead site the most effective way of farming the design is by killing Cataclysm World Bosses and Rares.

This pattern along with the high society top hat pattern are probably the rarest obtainable items in game, many people have been farming them since Cataclysm without seeing them drop.
The Cata world bosses have 3 hour spawn timer. I killed around 1,000 before giving up, some people have killed 20,000 without seeing them drop. I will let you do the maths
