Literally noone (0 x people) said that. Any [ToS-abiding] RP is ‘valid’ but it doesn’t mean that anyone has to acknowledge it. It’s a two-way road. You are, in fact, allowed to ignore people on Argent Dawn, but so can they.
But the issue here is: why pay a monthly fee if you are not planning to play the game’s PvE/PvP and are not planning to utilize any of its mechanics in your RP? roll20.net is there for you, I think. And there, only the DM has to cough up the .
The only RPers I know capable of portraying even an ounce of charisma also happen to have decent ilvl and show actual investment in their characters
Coincidence? I don’t think so.
no it’s not and it is in fact extremely easy to set up an IC and OOC chain of command to simplify things massively right off the bat unless you have no friends.
How can you be a good RPer if you don’t even play through the story-so-far 1 (one) time to actually be up to date (at which point you will have acceptable gear also)?
Sending someone a DM on discord takes like 5 seconds at most
I’m gonna ask you a favour to go ahead and ctrl F in this thread for the number ‘200’, so you’ll see how often I’ve said that the (low, low, incredibly low) bar of 200K HP is all I ask someone to reach on a character if they wanna RP a hot shot
I find well-written emote/DM storytelling more immersive than pressing a button every 5 seconds or OOC duelling where the trinkets/essences alone create quite the disconnect between your char’s fighting style and what you see on the screen.
If you think being a guild master is “extremely easy” you’ve probably 0 experience in the matter.
Also, if you believe 5 seconds per day is all it takes to organize any cross-guild activity, again, you’ve no idea what you’re talking about, quite frankly.
Have you ever heard of RP outside of RP-PvP? I highly recommend trying it out, it’s great.
EDIT: Also, this:
Made me giggle.
It’s so ridiculously and hilariously wrong and stupid I won’t even dignify it with a proper response.
I’m just going to address this particular line from your longwinded and frankly dumb drivel:
Whether I respect a player/their character has zero relation to their validity and I will still RP with and acknowledge them.
If I was as influential as to make characters, guilds and storylines hinge on my respect or lack of then you, your guild and 65% of the Horde and 90% of the Alliance playerbase would get snapped away overnight and made invalid.
Thank God and CSS editing I can block people on the forums too.
Getting a decent set of gear is easier in BFA than it’s almost ever been, I don’t understand what your dislike for the expansion has anything to do with getting ilevel.
If anything it only proves Tehya’s point that people who can’t do that measily amount of work don’t deserve to RP something strong and badass.
It’s pretty easy - it’s like a baby’s first tutorial of organising people. What’s your experience in leading guilds? I can give you some tips if you like
Once a structure is set up and when people know what they’re doing / are invested in doing it, it is fairly simple to organise RP
I think Crowton is a far more relevant roleplayer than you in every sense and is more than welcome to say what basically amounts to - a good way to do faction vs faction RP is via the PVP system + it’s easier to do if people buy literally benthic gear so that they have 200k HP rather than 50k HP. You should ask him for some tips on roleplay after you ask me how to run a guild
You just did, though, so you got owned
Who actually asked + why does that matter? You are a player that only began to exist (as far as I’m concerned) in this forum thread and you will also cease to exist when I close this thread
With zero active guild membership and zero impact on this server’s roleplay, it is honestly a little self important to post something like that
