Can we add portals for the shadowlands zones? They are a waste of time if u dont have a wormhole

Like seriously add portals, in oribos for each hub of each zone, with the new achievs and ppl who didnt play back in sl wanna farm old content its a pain flying from say from mald to rev, u gotta be flying for 2 mins to reach the zone, just add portals

Usage of the flight master is great though. Gives me ample time to take a shower, have dinner, watch the LotR trilogy and time to spare when I return!

I just use the FP. Usually hop on and forum dwell :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I can’t say it bothers me but I wouldn’t object to portals. I think there is little chance of them being added though :frowning:

They’re pretty fast compared to other continents. I don’t know why they opted to make it that way, maybe they thought it would be more immersive than a loading screen.

It was one of those things that when you first saw it you thought “oh that’s different and pretty cool”… then quickly became boring when you realised half of your play time in SL was spent on a flight path and one of those screens

Wait… are you saying you’re sitting staring at the computer screen while flying between shadowlands zones?

Please stop doing that.

Yes. Youtube is on it :stuck_out_tongue:

Imagine getting annoyed that it takes a bit of time to go from the main city into the deepest recesses of the underworld, which is itself closed off to us entirely now in the lore.

Even in Skyrim, which has instant fast travel, it takes longer.

Feel free to sue me, but I really do think that the sense of distance and scale matters. It certainly matters more than bloody achievement farming of all things.

If the devs themselves thought it wasnt annoying why did they add a portal to korthia and zm

I agree on this… We’ve highly advanced in terms of flight logic comparing to the old Orgrimmar to Silithus flight path, but I don’t agree that everything should just be teleportable…

Afterall, we are playing a “role playing game”, if everything we do is “zoom now I am in Silithus, bing bing now loading screen to Drustvar, wuush wuush now I am in a random Wrath zone”, we lose that aspect

Because there is too much QQ from people who are completely unable to process why the sense of scale is important in a game that’s literally about sense of world and scale right down to the core of its DNA. And they rightly believe that feedback is important now. But the thing is, they’re taking feedback from sources who don’t necessarily understand the game, but rather people who understand how to beat it. Hardcore players, farmers.

Flight paths are in this game for a reason. Or do you think that Blizzard was incapable of letting people teleport when the game came out?

Just so you know: in 0.5 there were resurrection stones instead of graveyards and hearthstones. These resurrection stones respawned you instantly. You could immediately teleport to any summoning stone you had already seen. The 4 Emerald Dream zones were originally supposed to spawn you back through the 4 portals, which would then allow you to teleport back - but it was never implemented.

But they got rid of it in favour of having you run back to your corpse because it involved you running through the world, and they removed the teleportation stones in favour of flight paths.

Because teleporting 24/7 sucks. It can be fun to do it occasionally, but the way it is in retail WoW is insane given what this game set out to do in the first place.

How else would we have got to ZM?

Look, if you are in Shadowlands, then you are already wasting time, a few more min of flightpath won’t really matter in the grand scheme of things
