Legion was the true end of Warcraft lore, when we imprisoned Sargeras.
No, that was Arthas in wotlk.
Ye after I killed Arthas in wotlk I completely zoned out and to this day still have no idea what’s going on after that.
What if dragon isles is good story wise very unlikely but still
Sargeras got a bad deal but it makes sense he’d get imprisoned since we’d have no way of really killing him ourselves and it did feel like a fitting end. I think Velens sigh of relief was done pretty well in that scene, as was Illidan choosing to stay behind.
Not a fan of how they handled N’zoth (if it’s really the end of him) and the Jailer is just comically bad as well.
For me the peak of STORY in wow was MOP.
Honestly, yeah. Blizzard keeps saying that Shadowlands are supposed to be the end of the story, but Legion feels like the proper end of the Warcraft saga. With BFA and Shadowlands being of or an “act-2”.
Agree. MOP was beautiful, although didn’t like what cataclysm have done with majority of the places.
This.
Anything after Wotlk is just downhill.
I read a quest text in vanilla once. Something about kobolds in a mine. How is their lore doing?
Apparantly they enjoy candles.
But why they enjoy candles so much?? Hmm?
So many questions
the lore about kobolds and candles is more interesting than SL one.
World of warcraft 10: kobolds strikes back
They live in mines. Candles are their only source of light.
Perhaps their eyesight is so adjusted to the dark that seeing a light is a mythical thing to them.
Thus, they revere it by wearing a candle on their heads that they can light within the mines.
That also explains why they’re so zealous about having their candle taken away from them. It could be a religious thing.
I’ve only just started looking into WoWs lore…
Recently I learned of this dude called Edwin VanCleef who was apparently the end boss of the Deadmines once upon a time.
What really struck me is this dude, this low level dungeon boss had a better, more well thought out and more fleshed out plan than the Jailer, the end boss for an entire expansion and the end of an apparently 20 year long story… Sheeeeesh…
