It feels much larger since the DF UI came around.
Has anyone managed to find any other customization other than turning it off or moving it to a corner?

The talking head is the dumbest thing ever. We already have a place for NPC messages - it’s called the chat box.
I don’t think there’s any way to hide it but there are some addons like HideTalkingHead.
Should definitely be an option in the default UI though. The darned thing shouldn’t exist in the first place, but at least let us hide it if it has to exist.

Addons like HideTalkingHead and TalkLess stopped working for me since the prepatch.
Nothing seems wrong with them, people don’t report much issues, but they’re just like completely non-functional. Dame talking heads keep appearing again and again. So I eventually dumped the addons. Is it maybe finally working now since a couple days ago?

Imagine the weird alternate reality where a super-simple feature like this was native instead of requiring yet another separate addon.
Imagine also the insane world where accessing a bank made all bags open automatically and not just your personal ones while keeping the bank bags closed for no discernible logical reason. (The simple addon for that that I used stopped working or caused errors or something.)
This whole WoW addon situation is just as infuriating as browser addons.
Sometimes I wish for this addon in real life…
I just realized (again) that hiding the talking heads is annoying if there is no other addon or functionality in this one to also mute the vocals, because with a hidden talking head, you are forced to listen to the talk every time and cannot interrupt it.
