Can we consider adding a reward in between glad/legend and rank 1?

Since BFA now, the difference between ‘elite’ and rank 1 is quite stark, often exceeding the difference in rating between elite and challenger.

This is quite a phenomenal difference, and players are often not motivated to continue queueing after achieving their goal, even if they could push higher. Other games like lol have much more divisions at higher rating than wow.

Rank 1 is quite unobtainable for most people who want to balance the hobbies in their lives or do not make their living from competing or streaming.

A reward such as for top 0.5%, top 1% and top 5% could motivate people a bit and if these were percentile based it would guard against inflation. Having static rating reward things like gear is a fine mechanic imo, but for cosmetic rewards I think percentile is just a better model.

Brackets being normalized to a percentile rather a rating cutoff is something that needs to happen but it should not be at the end of the season, but rather dynamic during the season and if you hit the top 1% once, you get the reward for the top 1%.

yeah agreed

wouldnt it be really hard to balance mid of season % rewards

would i be r1 for the rest of season if i start play the second the season begins while awc player is having a nap

dont kinda like this idea cos u could play really hard from the start and then quit for the rest of season if u like

That would mean blizz has to do work actually we wont see they doing anything cause they also assume rmp is fine for 17 years.

Rofl you are 2.5 max XP from BFA from what appears to be FOTM spec hopping from season to season to achieve bare minimum “Glad” (Feral to Windwalker to now Lock correct me if I am wrong) and you are worried about something between Glad and Rank 1? Sorry to break it to you but if they introduce percentile based Glad again (Which THEY SHOULD and I HOPE they do) your 2.5 “Glad” XP from BFA is equivalent to Rival which is probably where you belong. And no your 2.9 from Solo Shuffle means nothing before you decide to mention that lol. Absolute brainless potatoes who have never played Wow or done any arenas before are hitting 3k in solo shuffle playing subpar specs and you are playing S tier class. Its a joke what this game has become catering to clueless casuals with this solo shuffle garbage.

passing along the :salt:

Hmm what’s the point of this gibbering diatribe by the way?

The current state of the game where Rival caliber players can come here and think they can give suggestions to Blizzard. Only legit multi rank 1 players who actually have a clue about the game should even be able to open a thread here. I am sorry but this pisses me off when I see quacks open so many pointless threads here while barely cheesing welfare Glads as their “XP”

go outside sounds like you are about to roll on the floor and start crying wow is not even a serious esports game give it a rest.

More like I am about to roll on the floor laughing at what a joke the game has become after MOP, the last expansion where the devs actually gave a F. So much QQ and crying from casuals made them dumb down the game destroying it completely. The new generation of players NEED to know this. Some young players have no clue how great pvp once was in this game. All they know is Wod, BFA, legion and Slands, the 4 dumbed down Xpacs for the truly mentally/mechanically challenged.

Game needs to be made easier for more players to get into the game nobody plays mmos anymore the game will never be an esports pvp should just be a mini game in wow trying to force esports is what ruined it in the first place.

its the same people who have played the game for 10+ years there is no new players coming into wow maybe the odd 1-2 who come up but they have still been playing the game for atleast 5 years+ thats the problem with wow its impossible to get new players to want to play it.

Letting the casuals have fun is the only way to bring it back maybe in the future then they could do balancing specifically for the 3v3 bracket and make 3s be focused on tournaments only just like every other esports game does you have your solo queue and then all competitive premades compete in a different bracket.

I quit this game for around 5-6 years and i come back and there is the same people i used to talk to playing it and have been playing it 7-8 hours per day they will be in their late 20s early 30s now in any other esports that would be too old to compete but its different in wow the longer you play the better you become.

Wow pvp is scripted gameplay the more you play the script the better you get at it there is some moments where mechanical skill comes into it like deathing blinds etc but nowhere near the same ammount of reaction speed is needed in wow to lets say an fps game or league etc.

Also i dont think it was any better in MOP the problem is many players had bad PCs and it was normal to have 10-40 fps back in them days even myself i had around 26 fps in mop there was no guides by just opening youtube like there is now you had to ask players on your realm and try to replicate what they was doing.

You still notice these same people in current wow with bad pcs they are normally backpaddling and moving around like bots this was so much more common back in tbc-mop if we went back to mop now all we would have is multiple people on these specs and these specs only.

Frost mage
any warlock spec
holy priest
rdruid
spriest
ele
warrior.

You see that would actually make sense, and blizzard arent know for being logical and reasonable, good example right is: some classes can be trash for months and nerfed in a week, while other can brake meta and be ignored for over a (decade) month by now.

Tho they probably would like your idea because its about rewarding 0.5% players who are addicted anyway rather than 99.5% or potential new players.

My apologies in advance didn’t read a single reply / OP in this thread due to text walls.

I am certainly sure we will see new rewards added within this expansion span. Example is legend title for this season solo shuffle.

Also requirements for glad mounts will be lowered OR there will be recolours added for lower ratings.

I’m sorry your life isn’t going that well. I wish you the best mate. But maybe consider a therapist or friend/family member as oppose to the wow forums.
