So after you max out reputation with the Loamm Nifflen on 1 character, you gain the ability to purchase Barter Boulders on your alts from the quartermaster NPC for Dragon Isles Resources.
That is great and all, however the items which are sold by vendors continue to be sold for Barter Bricks, not Boulders. This means you need to grind out Renown 12 with the Loamm Nifflen on an alt in order to purchase items which should be sold for Barter Boulders, not Bricks.
Please add an ability or option to buy Profession recipe or other items from Ponzo for either Bricks or Boulders. Being limited to Bricks only on an Alt character while you can buy Boulders is very annoying and it is very tedious to grind out 12 renown levels from scratch. I did the campaign up to Chapter 6 since I get 300% rep, however that took me hours on end, and I still wasn’t renown 12.
I feel your pain. I’ve got several alts waiting to get to 90 bricks to be able to buy the main profession points item. Then I have to do it all again for the 45 and 90 bricks items for the secondary profession. I’m not sure I have the will left in me to do so.
I’m literally doing it right now, maxed out campaign up to the chapter where I have to complete the raid, got to 10 and a half renown level. Now I basically have to like 20 Sniffleseekings across my account and pray I get the rng drop BoA Rep items a few times to send them over.
I did pick a very dead time to do this while I watch stuff on my 2nd monitor, but my alt has bad gear and can’t just speed through these things, expecially those 1200k hp Elites which are on 2 chapters of the campaign
I never unlocked the zone on alts and just flew down. They are all pretty low on Niffen rep so I’m stuck with bricks unless I grind it out 6 more times.
You still care about professions on alts? :,D
Get the problem though, even if a gave up on it a long time ago… when my maxed out enchanter needed to buy enchants from the AH because he couldn’t craft them on gold. Hate the profession rework for that.
I hadn’t noticed this as I don’t play alts in ZC. But I have noticed that my alts levelled recently have a load of crests and a load of upgradable gear by the time they hit 70, but zero flightstones as 60-69 level chars don’t get them from WQs like level 70 chars do.
I am a broken record on this one, but the job of designing and implementing many features of this expack has been poor with obvious issues not picked up in QA.
Normally maxing professions is all you need to do. Now we have this convoluted points system. And I can’t say it’s been fun on my main or my profession alts (which is their main purpose). I maxed all the profs back in May but I’ve only maxed the knowledge on two proffs I think so far.
