Can we get a deterministic way to obtain the tier appearances?

I’ve gone the whole season without getting any feet-slots to throw into the catalyst.

Let us throw in the crafted gear in it just for appearances.

You mean to get the myth-track tier set appearance?

If so, just catalyze a hero-track item and then upgrade its ilvl a bit (I don’t remember which level it is, I think upgrade 4/8). This also works with lower tiers, e.g. champ-track can be catalyzed and upgraded to unlock hero-track appearances.

Or you know do mythic raid if you want mythic transmog?

I haven’t gotten a single feet-slot item on hero track or higher this entire season. I’ve been using champion track feet since the early season because it doesn’t drop or appear in my vault.

That’s not deterministic. You can still go an entire season without completing the set even if you mythic raid.

Got same issue with belt, I’ve gathered mogs from lfr to mythic but just missing mythic appearance for belt. Never gotten it beyond champion level.

God, this. So much this!!

I don’t raid or do LFR to get the lower tier set looks (raid finder and normal) and sometimes those sets look better than the disco ball mythic looks. :frowning:

Or when you miss a season (s1 for me on my Hunter) and can’t go back collecting the tier sets easily. :grimacing:

If you want a hero-track piece to unlock hero and myth transmogs, you could spam M+6s. Check the dungeon journal which dungeons actually drop some cloth shoes, form a group with as many other cloth wearers as possible, spam those dungeons, and you should be able to get some cloth boots to catalyze fairly quickly.

Yeah, technically it’s still RNG, but unlike the weekly vault, you can spam it as much as you want.

your issue is not the appearance unlock
you sir are just unlucky getting a boots upgrade.

throw in few delves 8, unlock extra hero track slots in your weekly vault for more chances
they’re so quick and easy compared to season 1
plus hidden trove.

I had this problem in DF as well. I never finished my set because for a whole season I never got any drop for the last piece I needed, not from, not from dungeons. It’s now repeating this season.

It shouldn’t be easier to get the elite set from pvp than gathering a full mythic set over the course of a season.

I have to say: Complaining about feet slot items not dropping on a troll is ehm… Ironic.
I know I know: Not your main, obviously, but still… Ironic. :kissing_heart:

WIthout being sure, you can buy boots with Bloody Tokens and Conquest, which should be enough to unlock the LFR, Normal and Heroic tier equivalent of the Catalyst appearances. I don’t know about the Mythic tier appearances though. Those will probably come at a following patch/expansion when we bruteforce the raid

I’m not saying that you’re not in this position.

But I find it highly surprising.

I have been playing for just 5 weeks, and I have completed multiple classes tier sets.

Maybe you’re just not trying or have some really bad luck.
