Can we get some more information about the transmog system we're getting? Blizzcon had very little

During the Blizzcon presentation, we got very little information regarding the transmog that’s coming in Cata.
Basically we were told we’re getting the retail system, that’s it.

Well I got a couple of questions:

  1. Are we getting the system that’s coming in the upcoming retail expansion, meaning that we can aquire all armor types on any character (for example I can collect cloth transmog on a plate user)?
  2. Are we going to be able to learn gray/white items?
  3. Are we going to automatically learn all quest reward transmogs? I would assume yes, as that’s how it works currently. However, my first question comes into here: Do I have to complete Loremaster on 4 characters (cloth, leather, mail, plate) to learn all the quests rewards mogs, OR are we getting the upcoming retail expansion system here as well? (Meaning, do loremaster on one character, and learn all the quest rewards mogs).
  4. Legendary items? Will we be able to transmog those from the get go?

We have no clue atm. The only thing they confirmed is that you won’t have to keep your transmoggable items in the bank.

After seeing how RDF was introduced, I assume it is very likely that the transmog system will be copy pasted either based off dragonflight or the new expansion. There might be small adjustments, but not more work than necessary. I do not believe that Blizzard would put in the effort to bring the original transmog system.

We know at least that it’ll be the modern transmog panel in the collection menu. Which means you won’t need to keep the physical item around like you did in cata.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Dropping a new expansion may very well overwrite all the changes they made in this one.

I mean this is something they confirmed either in an interview or at blizzcon I’m 95% sure so.

That link just says the system is coming, not what it is.

Arguably yes, but thats not even an argument for Blizzard. The old group finder was better in classic compared to the copy pasted new one. Does this concern Blizzard? Obviously not. Same will happen for the transmog system. They will copy paste the retail system, no matter if its better or more authentic or not.

This is all we got. We got barely anything at Blizzcon. 99% of the Time was just for the new Season :stuck_out_tongue: Until the Beta starts we will probably not get any Answers anymore from Blizzard

Obviously I’m fishing for a Blizzard response, as you all have the exact (little) information as me
