How about, can we have dungeons that can run with pure DPS?
It shouldn’t always be 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 dps. What if we make some dungeons for what people obviously play the most.

I like this.
MMO does not mean forcing players to group up, but the freedom to choose how you want to play. Scaling have been in the game for years. Solo shuffle pvp is in the game.
SWTOR have solo story dungeons, veteran four player dungeon without specific roles and master with classic roles and a brain.
Yes, why not have solo dungeons?
there are so few like minded ppl … and I dont want to rely on other ppl being online when I can be online…
I just think an AI system would work really well
Then, and I am sorry to say thins but, WoW or any other social oriented MMORPG is not for you.
The problem you have is that you want to be able to play everything whenever you are online. But the game isn’t designed that way and the design philosophy of WoW is not meant to be that way.
In other words, you are customer interested in the wrong product with your expectations.
We view things differently.
I been playing mmorpgs for more than 20 years. I always prefered playing it my way.
If there where no quests for dungeons to be taken outside of dungeons i would not set a foot in them until i could solo them.
I doubt i am the only one who likes mmorpgs but prefer to plsy them by myself.
You and I are different. And that’s ok.
All i wish for is that there be more options so ppl like myself could play their way
That’s a lot of self-sabotage I read here. And a lot of ignorance somehow too. No offense.
You would be suited a lot better with Open World games instead, like Witcher 3 or Fallout 4 and such.
We have the same people like you over there in my main game Destiny 2. And there your type of players does have a negative impact on the multiplayer-loving players like me because your kin wants “solo-player activities with endgame worth gear” which lead to Exotics (the equivalent of Legendaries) being tied to the most boring, most repetitive activity in Destiny 2. Lost Sectors! Everyone hates to grind them for the new exotics to even drop and even more to grind for the perfect stat roll.
Tell that to FFXIV.
I can easily see where OP is coming from though, I ran a whole one dungeon in SL because the run I had was disgustingly toxic and I’m just not putting up with that.
Don’t know why are people against this.
Like yeah you wanna stick to player-group-making just don’t click on the AI queue ( If it gets implemented )
Applying AI-queue for normal difficulty takes nothing away of the game.
NO ONE, LITERALLY, NO ONE that cares about raiding and m+ does dungeons on this difficulty anyways.
You know they just run into mythic and carry each other.
So yeah,
AI queue for normal difficulties so role-players can get to enjoy the game is +++++
I met some nasty people in dungeon but never got told I am bad in normal and hc dungeons.
Also dungeon with AI is bad idea.
And why do you care what people say about you?
We just have to agree to disagree…
I see no harm in having more options in the game. And i hate games like the Witcher.
I think there are room for all types of players.
And the system with ai works so well in 3 of the other mmorpgs i play
I do not see how it would kill grouping if people can do normal or hc dungeons with npc’s . While, being able to do m + with npc’s would be cool since there is no toxicity, most people would rather want an easy non toxic environment where they can learn how to tank/heal/dps at their own pace, without having dumbasses scream at them that they suck because they didn’t do something that those people thought in their heads that those players were suppoused to know. If we had a proper playerbase that is kind and not toxic, I am sure that most people would run dungeons more often and not many people would want to group up with ai. Normal and hc dungeons are good just a bit in the begining of the expansion. After that most people gear up trough other means. A small playerbase runs normal dungeons in x.2 or whatever patch to gear up. And it would be better for them anyway. Plus NO ONE would be forcing you to do it. A dungeon with npc’s would be slower but less toxic and with faster ques, while one with real players it may be faster even if you wait more for the que. The social aspect of this game was long dead anyway. People are hardly talking in guilds, never saying hello or thank you when they join/leave dungeons or even groups sometimes. Most people talk in discords nowadays. So, no, this won’t kill something that does not exist. I hate people whom are not social yet scream that something that would add more options for some would kill the social aspect of the game. The only time when most of the people in the game are “social” is when they act toxic and swear at someone new, which is definitely not the way to convince people to try healing/tanking/dpsing etc. The system works so good in ffxiv and the social aspect is really good there. And yes, I know that 14 is not wow, but it does not mean that wow cannot learn from it and see what things are making more people inclined to play it so they can fiind a way to introduce the feature in the game. If people are so worried about longer ques, maybe blizz should incentivize queing with others by adding a satchel that could give something valuable like a mount/pet/cosmetic with a lower drop chance. That way more people will attempt to que for it and your ques won’t be hurt by the fact that others can do their runs at their own pace and not be ruined by m+ rushers whom just pull everything and kick people when they do not follow their way of playing. Either way, having OPTIONS will never hurt anyone. It just makes the game have more variety and makes it better for more types of people. But it seems that some people around here are so close minded that they cannot undestand how others can play the game in a different way.
up untill MOP i did run dungeons normal/heroic but then Blizz made mythic+ and along came the toxic behavior and at some point i gave up and became a casual who focus open world/professions if that would be implemented i would be back for normal/heroic runs.
If you are talking about the first Dragonflight dungeon and youre a healer. If anyone in this run actually needed healing, they are also terrible. That dungeon can be done by 2 people. I dont think I even saw my HP-Bar move the whole dungeon.
This ^ no issues putting AI in normal or even Heroic difficulties. Maybe balancing or even scaling could present problems but that’s about it. Most people i know (including Sherry) jump straight into M0, essentially Normal and Heroic are the equivalent of LFR raiding
10000 % agree.
Options is the way forward. If more ppl could custumize their gameplay Blizzard would have more ppl playing their game.
Ff14 reason to introduce the Ai system was “ppl who suffers from social anxiety should feel welcome in our game.”
It’s only a bonus if Blizzard did this. Normal and heroic would be amazing. Then the mythic ppl could still have their gameplay
While this is true FFXIV also gimp the Loot in dungeons that you run with NPC’s so you don’t get an unfair advanges. Also Dungeons in FFXIV all serve some story purpose were dungeons in WOW fully optional.
My (friends on voice) group wiped on mobs towards the last boss on the last platform. There was apparently a lot of damage there ![]()
Very possible it is doable by 2 people. But yes; first week and 0 knowledge.
Again, he was polite enough. If you were offended by his “2cents”, you could easily put him in your ignore list and call it a day.
The holy trinity is a good game design. You want to replace it with something inferior?
Also, I just relived my Pandaria scenarios PTSD because of you.
i son’r rhink ao.
The main group activity in Dungeons is M+ and nobody is asking for AI in M+. I’d limit it to just Normal personally. This would allow us to see the dungeon and complete quests and get cutscenes for end of questline type content.
I haven’t queued with randoms since Everbloom back in WOD, so now I do dungeons when I can solo them. Although Bliz keeps rescaling the world making it tougher to go and solo dungeons and raids. I don’t know why they hate us solo players.
