This is not about M+ and Raiding. You are missing the point.
Yes it takes something important away from the game. It takes away the social aspect of the game at the casual level.
Convenience always beats everything else, it’s basic human nature. So if people can join solo queue with bots for normal and heroic dungeons this will make the queues even longer which in turn will snowball in the utter obliteration of group content at that difficulty level. From me it’s a big no.
Firstly there is very little social about grouping with randoms in WoW and hasn’t been since Wrath.
Secondly having AI as and option doesn’t prevent anyone choosing to group up with actual players.
Thirdly having this option will open up this content to a lot of players who currently don’t do dungeons at all due to how anti-social random grouping (PUGs) are. I haven’t grouped with randoms to do dungeons since that wall jumping nightmare in Everbloom.
Nobody is queuin gup for Nomal dungeons for anything other than to see the dungeon and do some quests. The other rewards are not a draw factor here, the gear isn’t any good (WQs will give better) the xp is probably better just out questing, and the social factor no longer exists.

Wait there is a social aspect to the game? i haven’t spoken to anyone in the game for years everyone in the EU region here sadly has either social anxiety or is an introvert and I’m the opposite of that so because of that reason i don’t think A.I will hurt to have at all as ppl already don’t talk much at all anyway.
Yesterday when i was leveling my new orc arms warrior on AD in DF content only ever spoke 2 ppl out of 20 that were doing the content at that moment xD.
To add there might be a language barrier problem some ppl might not speak English but that’s rarely the case.

I always say “Good [morning/afternoon/evening]”, and usually there are responses. I got even in a (polish) community while leveling my mistweaver in dungeons in SL.
Lucky you
i guess we have to find a community like that.
Same here.
Also ppl have different reasons why they are not choosing to be social. For some it’s an actual disability
I love my one person guild. I love to do quest the way i want them. Only person i team up with on a regular basis is my husband. He also has a one person guild and his playstyle is very different from mine. Yet we help each other out from time to time.
Tolerance and acceptance that someone else prefer other things than you do is the key.
26+ years of happy marriage playing together but still differently

I can confirm this because alot of ppl on the forums have confirmed this to me as in they said themselves they have social anxiety and i don’t have an issue with that it’s just a lot more ppl have started to appear that way more then i realized.

passive aggression is polite lol
That’s a you problem. Join communities and a social guild. Lots of chatting there. Try to chat out in the open with others as well. You would be surprised how many will respond. Be the change you want to see. I always take time to speak with others and my experience in the game is a lot better for that.
Well when you don’t yake the time to engage socially with anyone in the game yourself you cannot complain.
I have already explained how that option will take away what we have now. Don’t make me quote myself please.
The only way I see this happening, is putting a “story mode” which will be easier than normal. This will not affect the Normal/Heroic Dungeons.
then maybe the players and the toxic community should care more about being a better person than longer queues
Define “better person”.
I don’t like the “go go go” mentality either but a person should be able to give advices to other players for example. However, one of the supposed “non-toxic” players here got so offended someone offered them an advice that now wants to play with bots as well…
So yeah, the community will not be fixed by adding bots to Normal/Heroic Dungeon it will only make the issue worse. There are other, better solutions.

The holy trinity is good at being optimal in taking enemy AI down to the point it spoils you. This is why it always looks silly to other gamers whenever they see our bosses only attack 1-2 tanks while 38 other people look like easy targets to wipe.
You can do game design without it. Heck, we even do most world quests without it.
if i wanted to insta que ill grab a tank or healer, if i wanted to troll ill do that …well not a moderated forum…
That’s where you are wrong.
By implementing systems that makes it easier for solo players to complete group content alone with AI, you devalue playing said activities be played with players, because the AI is always ready on demand. People always strife for the easiest route of convenience.
It would hurt the game, no matter how you word it.
The only option that wouldn’t hurt the game is to make said AI companions ultra weak and bad, so the solo player has to carry that dungeon run with a certain amount of difficulty.

This is such a bad idea for blizz to implement so i hope they never do it. Imagine if the ai somehow escaped from the dungeon and started farming all the mobs outside. That alone is reason enough not to mess with this kind of stuff, its bad enough having to compete with other humans never you mind having an instance npc going haywire tagging all my stuff and picking all my herbs. NO THANK YOU
We disagree again
it didnt hurt ff14 and i dont think having the option will hurt wow. It prob will never happen so i just enjoy the well working ai system in my other mmorpgs
Because FF14 still massively encourages Social Gameplay with others and also the Community environment is different.
In WoW you get flamed for being bad at your role or when making mistakes almost instantly. In FF14 people are more social and family-oriented with their critics.
