Can we have some tuning?

I’m not being funny… You literally release a huge statement weeks ago about you need to slow down the game, make it better for healers and reduce the amount of crowd control in order to make the game less toxics…

10.1 release and…

  1. The game is faster than ever
  2. The Crowd Control is worse because Micro CC is stronger
  3. Healing is far harder because of the above

Nearly every single spec has tuning that needs doing to them…

PVP Trinket set bonus needs to be lowered to 15% main state for DPS

Pre-cog haste should be removed

Warrior

  • Sharpen blade and Slaughterhouse need removing because they are toxic for healers
  • Warrior overall mobility with double charge, Heroic leap and double Blade storm offers way too much up time. Bladestorm immunity should be pruned and Heroic Leap CD should be doubled…
  • Shockwave and Stormbolt should share a choice node

Rogue

  • Assassination having access to double shiv with Hemotoxin is incredibly toxic and given how fast the meta is, more frequent powerful MS shouldn’t exist. Hemotoxin pvp talent should be removed
  • Knife Throw applying poison should be pruned asap
  • Sub goes in round abouts at being either God Tier or Horrible Tier. A great start would be pruning Shadowy Duel… that way when they are God Tier like now, they can’t just meme people

Hunter

  • Marksmen as always is garbage and a poorly designed spec
  • Beastmaster is designed for mentally impaired and as soon as this spec get even remotely S tier damage becomes a plague.
  • Survival is a more brain required version of Beast master
  • Hunters need a redesign from ground up

Demon Hunter

  • Reign from above should get Fel Lance pruned from it and made entirely into a defensive
  • Demon Hunter shouldn’t have Glaive Slow or Mortal Strike as the tool kit is too overloaded.

Druids

  • Cyclone duration needs lowering to 4, 2, 1 and it’s cast time needs increasing by 0.5 seconds
  • Balance Druids need a huge damage reduction…I’d go as far to say Starsurge could use a -33% modifier in PVP…
  • Mass Entanglement duration needs lowering to 4 seconds due to the power of root beam
  • Solar Beam duration should be reduced to 4 seconds
  • High Winds pvp talent needs pruning

Mage

  • I think this is the only spec that is actually balanced as you actually have trade offs…
  • Polymorph to be kept inline with Fear and Clone with a 0.5s cast increase
  • Ring should also have a 0.5s cast increase

Paladin

  • Holy is garbage…
  • Divine Shield needs it’s damage reduction modification back so rets can’t zugzug while in bubble
  • Remove Protection Paladin as a healer from Solo Shuffle
  • Jurisdiction shouldn’t effect Judgement or Final Verdict / Justicar Vengeance

Warlock

  • Destruction Warlock damage is excessive with far too much instant cast. Conflag, Shadowburn and Portals should be flat nerfed 20-30%.
  • Demonology Warlock are just as toxic as they’ve always been. removing mortal wounds from Fel Guard would be a start of balancing them…
  • Mortal Coil duration needs lowering to 1.5 seconds in pvp
  • Shadowfury duration needs lowering to 1.5 seconds in pvp
  • Fear duration needs lowering to 6, 4, 2 and it’s cast time increased by 0.5s
  • Frequent Donor should be a 5 second reduction not 15s in PVP

Priest

  • Psyfiend needs a range of 15 yards to add more counter play
  • Silence and Horror should be 1 minute CD not 45s
  • Life Swap should swap 50% of the targets health not 100% in pvp
  • Disc having double PS should mean they can’t use it while stunned

Shaman

  • Lightning Lasso duration needs lowering to 3 seconds
  • Windshear range needs lowering to 15 yards
  • Grounding Totem range needs lowering to 15 yards
  • Enhancement Lightning Bolt and Elemental blast needs tuning
  • Hex should follow suit to Fear and Poly and have it’s cast increased by 0.5s baseline

Evoker

  • Fire Wall “line of sight” removed. Simple adds high damage for those that run through it…
  • Sleep to follow suit to fear and poly and have it’s cast time increased by 0.5s baseline
  • Evoker 1 “burst” needs tuning heavily… seeing 200k++ hits and being able do 2-3 in the same gcd is absurd

Melee does need nerfs. They’re way too disruptive. They have way too much uptime.

How come statistically the 5 most played and highest represented dps specs at 2.2+ arena rating happen to be, without exception, all casters? Personally, I couldn 't care less about subjective explanations that come close to “gut feeling”-level, sorry.

interesting that hte only melee i ask for nerfs on is Warrior and Rogue, whilst I also asked for SP, Destro, Demo, Hunter, and Evoker nerfs… whom are all casters…

Hemotoxin has been hugely nerfed. Isnt it 5% now? Shoulda just deleted it imo but they decided to gut the sprint talent.
Imo destro and demo need fat nerfs, ele, enh, sub, feral, fury, boomy need tuning. Healer balance is just odd.

I think what OP is saying is a good start but actually the pruning should go much further. If they pruned half of the abilities in the game it would be reasonable. Why does every class need multiple CC’s, multiple defensives, multiple offensives, and multiple self heals. Not to mention that all of these near identical tool kits take away from any type of class uniqueness / identity.

All of the current overpowered specs come from pure overcomplication, a problem that is clearly inherent at Blizzard. As Blizz is all about the dolla, this is definitely surprising as more often that not, overcomplicated systems = overcomplicated problems with balancing etc. = more staff = less dolla in Bobby’s pocket.

Strip the game back and let it breathe and maybe people won’t be stuck in 30 second CC’s or or get one shot without blinking etc. (insert class ‘X’ problems people complain about).

affli cant even cast a single spell into the current coil duration, lets make it even worse so none of the choice nodes (mortal coil/howl of terror) would last for more than 1 second

u could also just throw a poisoned knife and ur slow would be stronger than what the warlocks had(and have) meanwhile also moving at 140% vs 110%

It’s a good thing that you have a 30s CD teleport that cleanses slows & immunes them for 6s or so then, while also having a spammable CC that makes people run away from the caster!

We can add the Domonology bonus of “I can also range stun ppl mid field then blast them so hard that now they are forced to retreat hehehehehehehe”.

Do you play your own class ?

Yes. I also had grown used to it against Mages really. On wide maps now a good Frost Mage playing with his max range is close to unreachable outside of stealth. Only when he decides to push in can you get to him. It’s a bit boring.

its good that ur class has the strongest slow in the game while being the fastest

we both know warlocks cant get away from rogues while rogues also having stronger burst windows because vendetta is 2m and wall is 3m ontop of being only 8seconds duration

my “spammable cc” is 1 second duration because it breaks on the first dot ticks which are every 1.5s

i mean ure trying to pretend that rogues are bad for them to get buffed its understandable but jesus dude just stop

Conveniently forgetting to mention ‘Dark Pact’ which absorbs 600k+ every 45 seconds, nice…

Also, fastest class would be Monk, Druid or maybe DH, (certainly not Rogue) and strongest slow in the game would be Chains of Ice.

Very few melees can keep up with Warlock without being murdered right now, and Rogues aren’t the most mobile of the pack at all.

Deathmark is a terrible CD at the moment. It’s been nerfed heavily twice, as well as both DoTs that it duplicates (which nerfs it even more). Getting hit by a 30k Garrote tic crit that is the combination of the normal one + the DM one doesn’t kill people.

If you really would like to complain about Assa, at least have the intelligence to complain about what it’s actually good at, not about burst.

No. I believe my first post in this thread was to answer someone about Rogue loss of mobility making it complex to reach high mobility casters with more reach than Shadowstep + permanent slow + other forms of CC. And that’s just factual, it has nothing to do with buffs, nerfs, opinions, or you being annoying on your 1800 Warlock character that you use on forum.

It doesn’t take a genius to understand that if you put a spec with a 25y gap closer and a 30y slow vs a class with 40y range of damage and slows, a root, two blinks, a knockback and spammable CC below 30y, if he doesn’t want to be reached then he won’t. That’s a number’s game and it goes beyond your little opinion.

And the same can be said against another caster with spammable CC below 30y, damage and slow on 40y, ranged incapacitate, and teleport that remives slows when and if someone it gets reached. As well as several stuns in the Demo case. Again, it’s a number’s game, and your own little experiences or opinions don’t change that, try as you might.

That was funny. Last I checked the Fear tooltip was slightly above 1s. Also, Warlocks with a brain I played with were able to fear for the entire duration and that’s, again, slightly above 1s. “Stop lying” !
