Can we no longer play WoW as a non-steam game?

EDIT: I found the fix to this, so if anyone encounters this issue trying to run the game from Steam, it is because of DirectX. Steam seems to not allow non-steam games that run on DirectX 12 or something, all I had to do is change to 11 from WoW’s in-game settings and it now works flawlessly.

Hey, guys!

I have just resubbed and wanted to play again. Used to play it through Steam as a non-steam game, with the addon ConsolePort to play with Steam Controller.

Now, it no longer works, I get an error when I try to launch the game from Steam. This error I only get if I try to launch the game from Steam, as a non-steam game. I get this error instantly after trying to launch it from Steam. I tried making wow.exe a non-steam game, and I also tried using the bnetlauncher made by medalien, but the game still gives this error. If I launch the game from the Battle Net app it launches without issues. If I launch the game from wow.exe from the folder, it also launches without issues.

Did something change while I was away and now WoW does not allow Steam anymore or something?

Can’t post the screenshot for some reason, but the error is #132, says Exception ACCESS_VIOLATION, and something with memory thing.

Tried repairing the game and deleted the addon, but still nothing.

If someone can help me out I would really appreciate it, thanks a lot!

I personally can’t help you out with the issue, but I’d recommend you to post this on the steam forums aswell. Since it has to do with the steam controller maybe other people have had this issue for different games.
