To echo a sentiment on the Yank side of WoW; for months, since the beginning of The War Within, I’ve thrown countless characters at the Hallowfall weeklies in hopes of getting the Elite Lamplighter’s warhammer, and for months, I do not think I have seen it drop -once-. And it’s honestly getting to a point I’m finding myself hating the zone because of it.
Can we not have a vendor for such items that we can spend radiant shards for them or something? Or better yet, make the weapon in question BoE?
It’s honestly insane how rare it drops, at this point I’ve got almost every Elite Lamplighter weapon -BUT- that damnable warhammer! >.<
Edit I should iterate, while yes, I admit the post may come off as self-centred, I post this because I am aware others like myself are hunting for various Elite Lamplighter weaponry, and to my understanding, the drop rate is less than 1%, which I find to be frankly absurd considering generally speaking, one would normally aquire between 13 to 15 Lamplighter supply satchels, and this is assuming -anything- drops from them at all.
Therefore, I submit this as a suggestion of having a vendor to sell such weapons for, as mentioned above, radiant shards or similar.

Another entry from the diary of an obsessive collector. The game is starting to annoy him because he can’t get a single digital item. In a video-game.

Agreed. I’ve been trying to get one of the weapons of the Lamplighter Elite table tool since launch, still no results. Grinding those quests became tedious, I do not usually farm collectibles but this particular one I really wish to have. Hundreds of hundreds of satchels opened, I believe I deserved it already!

As someone who is exactly that type of person I am inclined to agree with the OP’s comment. The whole bag situation for the hammer is just an annoying pointless grind.
Even if it is for number go up to collect visual ingame item then that’s fine. Things shouldn’t take a stupidly long time for just a random weapon drop. At the end of the day we all want to look pretty and see number go up.

Another reply from a low level classic character with almost no posts.
Why don’t you log in your main to make such comments?

he is right tho - obsessing over 1 item so hard when you thousands others to choose from is a little excessive?
You tell the same thing to peeps who farm for the tusks of Manneroth? Or Invincible? Or the Ashes of A’lar? I trust my point is coming across

yes, I actually do.
And has been vocal about it . and it makes even less sense as you get plenty of recolors or even tw chests that can drop them.
endless farming of mounts is just lame
PS: The tusks farm proven extra nonsensical after 1) first they added garrosh skip 2) u could buy it in remix
Well, maybe. But people want what they want.
I’m not a collector, but if I have my sights set on getting a certain transmog because I love the look of it, and it just won’t drop, then that’s going to be annoying at some point.
So he has a right to ask for a solution.
The person I was replying to seems to be posting with the sole purpose of being insensitive and insulting. In other words: trolling.

Reality is often insensitive to people’s delusions and obsessions. I’m here to try to speak some sense into people
Well, that’s unsolicited. It’s not your job or responsibility to do so and you can see that it’s not appreciated. So why do it?
If it’s to set right some falsehood that someone’s putting forward as fact, then I’m right there with you, trying to speak sense into people. But with this? It’s harmless to ask for a solution for this.
Besides; calling someone wanting a particular piece of gear obsessive is unreasonable.
They’re just playing the game the way they want to.
So let me give you some unsolicited advice:
Just ignore such a thread.

And anyway, this isn’t just about me, it’s about -anyone- who’s spent ages in Hallowfall trying to get something, as has been mentioned, it gets irritating to say the least when what you’re after never seems to drop.
All I was doing was forwarding a solution

WoW has different rewards:
Easy rewards for playing minimally, e.g. Trader’s Tender, levelling tmog sets, low level tier sets
Skill-based rewards for playing well, e.g. Mythic mount, Zek ?.? Mount, glad mount
Grind-based rewards, e.g. collecting all the Siren Isle cosmetics, the cinder bee mount
RNG rewards, e.g. tmogs from Hallowfall
OP wants the RNG rewards to be Grind-based rewards instead. A reasonable request in principle, but it does go against the ethos of WoW gameplay.

See, I’d agree, but I also find it odd how some Hallowfall mogs are BoE, but a small handful are BoP, that is an extension of what I am criticising

It’s always sad to see silly people equate collecting or fatming an item to something as serious as addiction. It’s like saying everyone who has a drink is an alcoholic. It just comes across as malicious.
I’m intrigued what this hammer is now but it sounds like the drop rate is awful. Criticism for things like this is fair ofc.

I honestly despise how so many zone specific sets are so freaking rare, all strictly off Rares and weekly/rep or zone caches… so much rarer than mounts!
And they’re just recolours, I honestly cannot fathom the logic of making them rare to begin with…

Lamplighter’s elite Warhammer
So this badger;
And as I said, it’s gotten absurd as to how low it’s drop rate is :c

At the very least they shouldn’t be BoP so people can buy the damn things…

Right?! I’ve no idea why it’s bind on pickup where almost everything else is bind on equip
