Can we please have Transmog?

I don’t know why this isn’t in game yet, this was the single best feature WoW ever got, literally every other MMO has adopted it, even non-genre or indie games have it sometimes.

You can add a toggle in the interface menu of you must, for all the: ‘‘I need to see my enemies’ gear in pvp lol’’ the people, who are coincidentally also still making friends in the barrens so they don’t need LFD.

Think it this way, if Blizzard would add features from the next expansions, what will they give in thouse expansions instead? Sure you can say that WoW Classic will not live past Wrath, but I think it will, however loose up to 50% of the playerbase, because players like progression and we are in retail 2.0 anyway. Also every year MoP becomes more and more the true Classic

Not necessary. Play retail if you can’t live without it. We want the full Classic experience not a combination of Classic+Retail.

That is obviously too big a thing to yoink from an entirely different xpansion. Just wait and hope for Cataclysm.

And I hope Cataclysm doesn’t happen to Classic.

I like the transmog idea.
I don’t like overly beautiful equipment, and class sets are overly pretentious.

Which is why we get some changes. Ulduar will last 6 months, heroic + is a thing and everything in between.

Literally every MMO I think is a big stretch, but the TLDR is this is supposed to be Classic, not a new MMO. Why are you asking for things that weren’t in this expansion? You’re the sort who ruin games.

i think transmog in wotlk would probably be a positive, it would add an IMMENSE amount of extra content that mains can do every week and not to mention legacy raids would actually come alive again and form in the lfg

Easy. Nope.

Why? Just dont play it if you dont like it.

Because it changes the classic zones and removes lots of classic quests. I won’t play it but I am worried I won’t be able to play Wrath of the Lich King.

Same here.

While it could go against the spirit of no-changes, I wouldn’t mind.
Could also give incentive for people to form groups for older content for variety and fun.

I doubt they would add it to this iteration, but the next round of Classic could have it.
Unless you’re secret service and polling whether to enable it. Have my seal.

There are a few cases why I would use it:

  • Being a proud owner of some old set. Or roleplaying like Stormwind Guards. A bit less of an issue now in WLK with 20 slot bags, but carrying multiple equipments for fluff is not optimal. My personal favorite was the AQ paladin set (the red one), worn it for years.
  • Being a clown without. At certain points, you get consistent sets, I believe they started this for quests around WLK or Cataclysm. Even then, there are transition phases where you just wear random colors and items. I’m used to it, but still.
  • Identity. Since WoW gear is virtually 2D, there is a lesser need of picking colors for any gear, but picking gear for colors is valid. I just dressed some retail characters recently based on their concept, such as my frost mage wears a fitting mix of blue items.
  • (By the way, I’d love to collect gray gear appearance as well. Some of them are really nice - in their own way.)

But then we need void storage. But oh wait, that was just a mess that was scrapped eventually too, instead appearances just get stored on your account, sooo much better. So yeah, let’s have that directly. Oh, and mounts and pets account wide too, ty  If it appears that I’m sarcastic, forget that right now, I’d be happy to have all this in classic. But no it does not belong in Wrath, but CATA YES, since that’s where transmog was introduced.

Then stop playing now, because there are already things that haven’t been in the game 2004-2008…

Oh wait! I know what to say.
Don’t buff Ulduar, or fiddle with item levels, it’s not classic that way.

I understand the argument slippery slope, but I really don’t see how an appearance collection would hurt.

I mean, okay. The specific memory of seeing everyone in tier gear specific to each expansion. I did actually like the Ulduar paladin gear (the white skirts) very much. And have specific memories of sitting in Ironforge as a level 30, looking at all the violet-purple glowing gear.

Still. Peasants like me could have a choice to show off a fine collection of questing gear.

Oh wow big brain argument right there. Other unrelated changes have been made. Therefor all changes are valid.
