Farming herbs and mining is very annoying with this new dragon riding.

Since I now have Dragon gliding as it’s not actual flying since it’s more physics based and unless you increase your speed you eventually just drop to the ground. I can say for me that yes DF is a gimmick, the speed is just wrong as you have no time to look at the ground for a place to land as you end up hitting the ground since the movement is mouse/camera based.
Yes some like it good for you others don’t and want old flying back. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and we all don’t have to agree on it.
The lack of any actual flying in DF an oversight as it is clearly gliding hit 1 button to speed up and another to gain altitude. I get why Blizzard wants it in the game but give me hover and old flying over this New style. Yes hovering is nice to have if your on warmode with your hearthstone/s on cooldown and you have to pee,answer the door or put your attention to your partner/kids answering the front door, and with the current state of the servers having issues etc at peak times hovering beats logging out and trying to log back in again

As with every expansion from TBC onwards, flying will come. In the meantime Blizzard have given us a free, easy to use system for traveling the world.

You literally cannot fall out of the sky/lose speed if you have an above 40 IQ. If you are falling out of the sky and can’t fly permanently its 100% skill issue on your side.

First of all, why?
Second of all, for the last 8 years or the last 4 expansions, we only had ground mounts for the first year or so. If you hate dragonriding, you can always make yourself a same experience and just use the ground mounts 
I am not hating drago riding.
We cant compare this expansion to other expansions. There are many expansions where you can start flying from start of expansion - thats a tall for another time. Its not fun to grind herbs with 800% flying speed.
I m in club of fly from the start of the expansion so dont really care if they ground half of the expansion.

No it’s not a skill issue its a gliding issue as that is what we have it is not flying in any sense of the word. Flying is what we had, it’s what bird do irl. The current thing we have in game is gliding requiring extra input to maintain the glide path. Gliding is not and never will be flying.

It’s not gliding though, I can fly through 2 zones without issues, that sounds like flying to me if you are on a straight path
I don’t hate dragonriding, but I don’t find it especially compelling either. I’d prefer regular flying.
But at least we get all big, spread-out zones instead of those packed rat-mazes they kept cooping us up in, and that’s not a coincidence. We got them because they want us to use their latest pride and joy.
It’s a deal. I’ll take it.
Oh, and go fill your dragonriding talents early. It helps a lot.

They’ll eventually add normal flying, probably the next two patches. But imo, dragon riding is so much better.

Simple if you actually look at what your doing.
“fly” on your dragon mount and hold it in a straight line nice and level not using any buttons. It has no forward momentum of it’s own. The only way to gain any forward momentum is to use gravity and altitude or the ability to lunge forward. This is by definition of gliding.
Now jump on an old flying mount hold it level and you can move forward as it creates it’s own momentum. It does not need the use of gravity or altitude to create this force. This by definition is flying.
Old flying mounts = flying, The new DF “flying” mounts are glider’s plain and simple.

You are literally wrong. The dragon-riding mount has insane forward momentum if you know what you’re doing and you can maintain 900-1000% forward speed permanently with all glyphs unlocked. Please stop coping and get good

you will get your brain dead flying when the next big patch drops and the pathfinder achievement unlocks. now stop crying and use your ground mount if you don’t like this

i just like to have a option to fly normal fly mount and NOT get stok ad just flying the dragons mode

It is not flying read what i actually said and test it in game its gliding. If you want it in any more basic terms look at a glider it can only obtain forward momentum by using updrafts, gravity and altitude. To get the thing in the air it uses another plane to take it to altitude. If it levels out with no input from the pilot it loses forward momentum and loses altitude.
Now take a normal Cessna since they are very similar in weight etc. This creates it’s own forward momentum not needing altitude, help from up drafts or even another plane to gain altitude.
The second you input a button press with the new mounts you may call it flying but in all terms of the words its not actual flight.
If you want it even simpler go watch toy story 1 watch buzzlight year in the bedroom scene, He does not fly yet has wings. He actually falls with style (Glides) for a short time as he doesn’t create his own forward momentum.
