Depends on how you interact with it I guess, having flown around on my dragon I don’t feel like I’m missing out on the scenery and doing loremaster gets me to visit all corners of the isles anyway. I agree with the node things yeah, my solution is that I have two modes of flying; as high as I possibly can when I need to get from A to B, or more closely to the ground when I’m gathering nodes. I explicitely ignore nodes on far distance travel (because it is painfull to dive 25 seconds down again after spending your points to get to the proper height for a long distance glide).
Hovering still is one I overlooked yes, but I don’t agree that it takes away the ability to just relax and take in the scenery, mostly because its the player that decides to stop or not so if you want to stop more and enjoy the scenery; then stop more and enjoy the scenery, who cares how other people use it? There are tons of higher areas to perch up on, hilltops, rooftops, mountaintops, you name it. The view is fantastic from all of them
I’m personally not a go go player myself either so I wouldn’t say its a gogo attitude thing or something thats exclusive to the gogo attitude thing, I only do group content with guildies with 0 exception for this exact reason, but even then when you’re being sent from southern azure span to northern waking shores and back you’re glad to have the speed available to you.
If it’s just not for you then that’s it really, but I do suggest trying to find fun stuff to do outside of just getting from place A to B with dragonflying, cause there is fun to do with it depending on your idea of fun which you simply couldn’t do on a regular flying mount.
For example I sometimes just go to azurespan and glide from north to south trying to weave through trees as close to the ground as possible, kind of making like my own free race track (ofc. with no actual rewards cause there’s no race or quest tied into it).
i wonder what that dude who always went “no flight no sub” would have to say about it all.
my iq is fine (shame on you for iq-shaming btw) i just think dragonflying is really annoying!

we might get it 10.2.0 adding it to 10.1.0 makes no sence becurse off …
Blizzard need to cut off the old and move with the times - update all old mounts to use dragon riding (its not hard, and you dont even need new rigs unless you want the dragon customisation system to work on them)

Yeah sorry some of us like the ‘‘old’’ plus the new isn’t really that new to begin with.
We are not asking to have Dragon riding taken away,just the option to use the old mount system if we prefer to do so.
And by the way Dragon riding was already there,just called by another name,in another game and done by another companycough cough guilwars cough cough

If they allow normal mounts in DF, I’d like to have my dragon taking me everywhere around ALL of Azeroth. If any of the classes it’s us, warriors who have more to do with them (thank you for your kindness, Odyn)…
So if one way then please, do the other part too! I’m tired of pressing “2” on my keyboard while going from A to B anywhere else and not going up with regular mount. 
Just give me back flight form, please. I really like dragonriding, but I’m a druid and I miss it dearly.

Yes Blizzard, allow us to use normal flying mounts in Dragon Isles.
Just give the option to use normal flying mounts like we used so far. And also leave dragonriding as an option.
By implementing this dragonriding system and not allowing to use normal flying mounts you just frustrate a lot of old players who farmed hours for Invincible, all the rare achievements flying mounts, Ashes of A’lar, Obsidian Worldbreaker, Smoldering Ember Wyrm, Life-Binder’s Handmaiden from legendary quest, and many others rare flying mounts.
You just deleted the last 15 years of collecting over 400 mounts, mounts that are just put into garage now.
For an old player like me, mounts and transmogs from hard achievements are quite a trophy, and you just made them garbage.
I really hope if you still value your customers, to allow also the usage of normal flying mounts in Dragon Isles.

As much as I loved dragon riding in the first place, once you have to do tasks that require you to move around a lot and go up on hills, you are literally afk all the time waiting for vigor to come back, it’s starting to really get annoying

THis flyin if Ask is not perfekt But we got spoiled with AFK flying system kinda.
Do as much as think old was pratical It was dull.
This flying u need use ur brain aww dear ur 20-40 sec on floor for mine.
Yes i have that aswel with mining and herbing.
But is drama to me no.
A few pointers this flight brings thats good.
1 Multiboxin herbin/mining kinda killed.
2 Bots killed I think not seen any sofar but they prably dead
3 Its active u need to awake and think a bit to fly I love it
This just few points i say Keep this flying Well done blizzard.
I am just tired of getting dcd with my dragon because I hit something with it. The 100% stuck screen after it is sad:P If it didnt DC me so often making me 100% stuck or coming back dead I would have loved it…

Dragon flying is GREAT !
But … Standard flying is too !
I bust my a$$ collecting and buying flying mounts, it is only NORMAL to want to use them to fly and chill and stay in a high position and admire the game.
Also dragonflight has NO finesse, if you want to sweet land on a specific position, you can’t or you need to fly x times and learn to swirl and narrow your landing, which is fine, but quickly gets old.
Also if you need to quickly afk for seconds of minutes, you don’t have stationary flight with dragons.
I get the whole “lol/kek, u no dragon fly ? Wouahahaha, you newb, l2p, gtfo, newb, etc”.
To those who say that, well, I happily present the most rigid and yet elegant vertical extension of my middle finger.
Having both systems is only normal and requesting standard flying is NORMAL , especially with Blizzard selling FLYING mounts on their store !

Dragonriding is a great feature, but I miss using some of my old drake mounts and some of my flying mounts as well.

The only additional thing dragonriding needs is a “slow down”-button, for when i need to land on a tiny peak (Or a specific spot in “Nokhud offensive”, especially the part with the burial mounds, with the patrols), it’s hard to spot such things when going at ludicrous speed, but that small issue aside, dragonriding is fine,
Well, maybe make more mounts usable for it, like hippogryffs and the stack of dragons from older content, i’m not a big fan of protodrakes, personally.

There are people who can`t use the dragon glider because of many reason. And normal flying beside dragon glider does not hurt anyone, so why not have it in DF.
